Introduction

Education is a platform to communicate and empower children at an early age to enable them to go further professionally and achieve academically. In the field of academia, there are many variations of definitions, but it is generally observed as a benchmark of academic progress; it is sometimes called proficiency and may be quantified in several ways, such as exams and test scores, which can be measured in a variety of subject areas, but is most often studied in the areas of reading and math, in that students musts develop these character traits if they are to become successful adults. Accordingly, a student is given feedback in the form of grades and teacher comments; therefore, within the development stage they should have the ability to fully develop the internal character traits needed to successfully take charge of their futures.

It is an approach that builds respectful teacher : student relationships by providing quality education in managing and changing students with behaviour problems in a non-coercive, assertive, non-judgmental and non-confrontational way. The application of Choice Theory in school promotes accountability and responsibility of students and direct educators to alternative strategies for managing classroom problems which is less time consuming thus providing more time for teaching students instead of time wasted in enforcing punishment and resources wasted in using rewards to maintain discipline. The use of Choice Theory to manage behaviour problems relieves educators of stress, fatigue and burnout normally caused by using the unsuccessful strategies of punishments to maintain discipline in
