Glaxo-SmithKline GSK is a global, prominent pharmaceutical company headquartered at Brentford, England. The present form of company is a combined entity of both GlaxoWellcome and SmithKlineBeecham Corporation which were merged together in the year 2000 and came into being from 1st January 2001. The prominence of the company is such that it was selected as an official supplier of medicines to London-2012 Olympic games participants and GSK also played an extensive role in conducting anti-doping measures to all the Olympic participants. Basically, GSK intended to have an effective ERP to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data that are available in external information repositories like information data warehouses. They were very much surprised and rather struggled with the existing ERP system because many of them had no prior work experience and knowledge of SAP and many employees started looking for other feasible software options and they found SAP’s ERP. Mr. Christopher Louis, IT Project Manager, GSK Vaccines appreciated SAP’s ERP for helping GSK Vaccines in managing their internal process control.
