Today, every human lives in a mere assumption that the Earth is too big a place for any of us to have any harmful or lasting impact on its environment. The further we move into the future, the harder things are going to get for each one of us. Like Al Gore mentioned to us in the movie that ‘our future generations will be complaining to us why we never took steps to stop the harm we were causing to our environment’.
The first question that arises in our minds is “What harm are we causing to our planet Earth?” The simple answer to which is “GLOBAL WARMING”. But what is global warming?
Global warming often termed as the “Green house effect” is the increase in Earth’s surface temperature due to the emission of gases such as carbon di oxide from burning

We can also reduce the unnecessary use of electricity.
3. Better disposal of waste so as to avoid burning of fossil fuels.
4. Businesses take action on climate change for several reasons. Action improves corporate image and better aligns corporate actions with the environmental interests of owners, employees, suppliers, and customers. Action also occurs to reduce costs, increase return on investments, and to reduce dependency on uncontrollable costs.
Major changes such as sustainability could also be taken as they have a huge impact on the reduction of global warming.
Sustainability has been often mentioned as the goal of businesses, non-profit organizations and the government to reduce global warming. Sustainability is the capacity to endure; long-lived and healthy wetlands and forests are example of sustainable biological systems.
Sustainability can be endured by following the strategy of TBL. The Triple Bottom Line is an accounting framework that has 3 dimensions.
1. Social-These social dimensions of a commodity and include education, equality and access to social resources, health and well-being, quality of life and social capital.
• Unemployment rate
• Female labor force participation rate
• Median household
The greenhouse effect is vital to the survival of life and humans on earth. Although, too much of it can affect our lives in a harmful way, just as too much of anything can harm or even kill us. In comparison to the book, Of Mice and Men, Lennie’s marvel over soft things such as bunnies, hair, and red dresses usually were taken too far. This led to major consequences throughout the book. The greenhouse effect is not just beneficial, it is imperative to all life that it warms the earth enough to prevent a global ice age.
These could range from education to becoming more Earth friendly. We can reform education in many ways. We can first start off children with more difficult curriculum in lower grades to get them more prepared for harder and more important subjects. Another way to reform in the classroom is to provide better teachers who will ensure that every student will learn what they are supposed to. We can be more Earth friendly by making more houses use solar power.
Unlike humans trying to reconnect back to nature, we rather seem to want to create an artificial nature in our cage of industrious lives. Regrettably, this author 's call to save the environment has not been fully applied, as of today humans are still releasing toxins into the environment at the highest rate in history, occupying forests with building in the name of owning something, in places such as Antarctica, the polar bears are starving, even worst humans had it illegal to feed them while they are exploding and destroying their homes, the seas-fishes are iced up, just to name a few reasons why connecting back to nature is critical. Although green activists such as Ecosia have been working on restoring the environment, however, more needs to be done. We must see to it that nature bounces back to its full
Jane Goodall, a primatologist, ethologist, and anthropologist, explains that the greatest risk to our future is lacking enthusiasm and concern about its outcome. Considering Goodall is extremely environmentally keen, it is more than likely she is emphasizing this towards the future of the entire ecosystem, including plants and animals, rather than only the future of the human race. She explains that if the human race falls to a deficiency of caring about our environment, it can and will lead to a vast threat to the future of the world’s ecosystem. Often humans forget about the importance of the ecosystem and instead we become caught up in ourselves and our own individual needs. Goodall is stressing that if these egotistical human acts continue to occur, the future of our ecosystem is in jeopardy.
[The green revolution during the 20th century was the boom I will culture that was the result of human determination to break out of a food crisis.] The Green Revolution was caused by technological innovations, human want for food, and human want to escape status and class distinctions. Some consequences of his cousins were large economic effects, less hungry and more hard-working poverty, and let's class distinctions. The Green Revolution was caused by new technological innovations that resulted in severe environmental effects.
Corporate social responsibility: It has started an initiative in which it gives one percent of its revenue i.e. sales, to grassroots environmental organizations. Not only that, but also it has convinced 1,400 other companies to join this "1% for the Planet" initiative which he refers to as an Earth tax. This helps it to make a positive contribution to the environment thus achieving its strategic goal. Benefits: a.
In this highly competitive world, money is one of the most significant factors for people to survive because people use money to satisfy their desires such as clothes, food, and medicines. A company will gain profit from the amount of money that people used, but only profit cannot make company to be sustainable. Hence, every corporation should be concerned about the triple bottom lines which can lead company to be sustainable. The Triple Bottom line or TBL was created by the founder of British consultancy called sustainability, John Elkington since 1994 (economist, 2009). The triple bottom line is separately in three categories, including profit, planet, and people.
Changes to Earth sets out multiple negative effects towards all species that inhabit the Earth. First, these alterations causes human feelings to shift such as relationships. Next, these effects on humans can
Sustainability can be defined as business practices that both meet the needs of the present and don’t compromise meeting the needs of the future. Environmental sustainability involves deliberate actions that protect the environment, provide longevity of natural resources, maintain ecological support for the future, as well as guard against the endangerment of the planet. Sustainability and the Triple Bottom Line Frog’s Leap Winery has made every effort in its daily activities and operations to tackle sustainability and the triple bottom line of measuring their
Climate Change This quote said by Washington State Governor, Jay Inslee shows the severity of climate change “We are the first generation to feel the sting of climate change, and we are the last generation that can do something about it.” “On Earth human activities are changing the natural greenhouse of the Earth.” (A blanket around the Earth). Burning fossil fuels is causing carbon dioxide to be released into the air.
So What Causes It? Global warming occurs when greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane trap heat inside the earth 's atmosphere. Think about what happens when you open your car door after the windows have been rolled up on a hot day.
1. Introduction: Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the important green house gases (GHGs) emitted in the atmosphere through various human and natural activities. The human activities include rapid industrialization and urbanization, deforestation, excessive use of fertilizers in agriculture, excessive use of fuels, papers and many other manmade resources whereas natural activities include volcano eruption, forest fires, earthquakes etc. Emission of GHGs in the atmosphere leads to global warming which is one of the primary reasons behind the atmospheric changes that affect the human life directly or indirectly. The consequences of global warming are extremely harsh seasons, untimely rains, extended summers and floods that results in human deaths, destruction of flora and fauna in addition to the huge economical losses.
Global Warming Proposal Introduction The phenomenon of constant increase in the earth’s temperature is known as global warming. The excessive use of fossil fuels is destroying our environment as well as wildlife. It is a great threat to human life too, as this activity is causing intense pollution and also results in damaging the ozone layer.
The earth, our earth, once used to be a healthy environment, with no pollution or destruction. Not until humans began creating advanced technology and other inventions that started to affect the way we live. As humans we thought these inventions would just make life easier for us and we don’t mean to harm the planet. We are all trying to help the planet but at the same time, destroying it.
