The constant changes in technology have affected how public relations practitioners carry out their roles in society in general over the years. It is undeniable that the rapid and smooth delivery of information via various media has been made possible with globalisation and also the proliferation of new media. These factors have certainly affected the public relations industry as a whole, in terms of how public relations practitioners communicate and interact with publics of diverse background.

This has resulted in our lives being intertwined with people in all parts of the world via the food we eat, the clothing we wear, the music we listen to, the information we get and the ideas we hold.
