Globalization Throughout the last decades, globalization became a real phenomenon, but history tells us that it is actually not a new social, historical phenomena, but has, under different names and manifestations, been with us for a long time. It is actually not only the continuation of the liberalization of international trade, which began in the mid-19th century with the launch of cross-border trade over long distances and later with intensive large-scale mobility of labor and capital. During capitalism, globalization has amplified due to the lust for profit, which is driven by capitalists across the globe. Indeed, globalization has significantly strengthened ever since.
I. INTRODUCTION a. BACKGROUND: Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different countries, a procedure compelled by international trade and investment, and supported by information technology. Furthermore, this process has an effect on various other systems such as on the environment, culture, political systems, economic development and prosperity and lastly, on human physical well-being in societies around the world. “Since 1950, for example, the volume of world trade has increased by 20 times, and from just 1997 to 1999 flows of foreign investment nearly doubled, from $468 billion to $827 billion” (York, 2016). Earlier there were several roadblocks in the ability to communicate and interact with the people worldwide. But now, the world is becoming more and more globalized in all spheres: Business, financial, social, economical, etc. Over the years, a lot of technological advancements have come into picture including the changes in the field of Information Technology, having a significant impact on the global landscape.
Evaluate the positive and negative of globalization on Vietnam Today, there are increasing international brands set their factories in Vietnam such as Columbia Sportswear, L.L.Bean and Nike(DangThu,2011). It is not a secret that globalization is increasing substantially and creating new opportunities for Vietnam. As Wild and Han said, ‘Globalization trend toward greater economic, culture, political, and technological interdependence among national institutions and economic. ’(Wild&Han, 2006:6) However, globalization not only took benefits to Vietnam.

Globalization is the method by which business, corporations, individuals start to operate on an international scale. Globalization has empowered monetary advancement, social and political impact. Though globalization is advantageous to the individuals who have worldwide systems while others are barred. The counter globalization development surveys the importance of globalization.
The aim of this assessment is to reflect on what I have learned this semester regarding the module of Business in Global Context; from the lectures with the professor, the case studies done in class and the three previous patchworks that we worked on. We have learned that there are different internal and external components that affect the business environment, from corporate social responsibility to cultural and institutional framework; organizations must take into consideration all the factors related to the different parts of its environment. For the topic discussion, I will be discussing globalization and how it has affected the global business environment along with the key aspects and the different point of views regarding it.

Increasingly, businesses, consumers, and governments realize that their lives are affected not only by what goes on in their own town, state, or country but also by what is happening around the world. Consumers can walk into their local shops today and buy goods and services from all over the world. Local businesses must compete with these foreign products. However, many of these same businesses also have new opportunities to expand their markets by selling to a multitude of consumers in other countries. The advance of telecommunications is also rapidly reducing the cost of providing services internationally, while the Internet will assuredly change the nature of many products and services as it expands markets even further.
