Taking art 1301 was one of the best decisions in my life, because I learned the true meaning of art, history plays a important part in art and there is art everywhere. I discovered that the art museum had so many great paintings and some of the artwork comes from the old times, like during the world war I and II , I did not know the museum would have amazing historical artwork. One thing I noticed is that some artist have created the same type of artwork they use one skill for all their paintings or statue for example Fred Wilson created the “ Were ancient Egyptians black, white,or brown” his artwork has the same faces created five time, but the only difference is the color of the statue. He used the same technics, which makes his art
Art has been around for centuries, expressed in various ways through different mediums; painting, drawing, photography, music, and so many more. Each having smaller categories within them. One can create a portrait with different types of paint, chalk, pens and pencils, the lens of a camera. A musician can convey a feeling within lyrics, or notes of a song. Separate forms of art, yet if you look closely enough, you can see similarities as well. Edgar Degas’ The Singer in Green, and Jan Vermeer’s the Milkmaid were created out of two different mediums, but also feature active women. The Singer in Green is a beautiful drawing done on light blue laid paper, with pastels.

For many years art has been a method artist 's have used in order to express themselves, and all of their feelings, experiences, and passions. The students are expected to learn the Commutative and Associative properties of addition and subtraction during this unit. This unit would be the beginning of the students being able to use both properties up to the number fact of 20. The teacher would model the expectations and the way the work is to be completed through various examples on the interactive whiteboard. Students would be introduced to the properties, be provided of their definitions, and then be walked through a step by step process of how equations are done using the properties. Each day, the teacher would review the information and equations that were taught the day prior, to ensure that students have a clear understanding and are ready
If the teacher speaks every time, students won’t learn anything because we are telling them how to solve and work on the word problem. If the students work and we assist them through question, they will understand how to solve the problem. In my first year of teaching, I was talking and giving students everything they needed to know. In this new school year, I will take my students and use the real world activities. For example: Let the students walk around and use the materials to measure the things they see in their campus. This will be a perfect way to make them visual and understand the concept of math. The students can create a real world activity in their room. Let the students think and bring out their own knowledge that they have inside to learn what the teacher is
In this article, Fay Yarbrough discusses the legislation passed by the Cherokee in order to control the marital options and choices of their women. Yarbrough begins by explaining the role of Cherokee women with regards to marriage, especially to non-Cherokee men, and the Cherokee laws policing sex and marriage. She then discusses the racial implications of those laws, specifically the laws regulating marriage with people of African descent. Yarbrough concludes by addressing Cherokee legislative provisions that include whites as viable marriage partners. She argues that through these marriage laws, Cherokee officials attempted to racially redefine the Cherokee people, aligning themselves closer to the white race and distancing themselves from those of African descent.
Artwork is all around the world, but is it really worth the resources and time for it? In the essay “Is Art a Waste of Time?” by Ryhs Southan he discusses the purpose of art and explains the group, Effective Altruism. The main argument is that Effective Altruism do not agree with using resources and time on artwork. Effective Altruism is against artwork the resources, and time it uses up that do not contribute to the poor. Art is like a language, ideas and thoughts that may not be able to be articulated any other way. The big debate is whether artist artwork is a waste of resources and time, or if it is good for the world with all the creativity and the beauty it has. Art is more than justifiable to enjoy it. The enjoyment of art gives modern
We all continue to live in a world surrounded by varyng forms of art, music, painting, literature, and all these are results of creative human activity in which materials are formed to show an idea or a thought of communication. What if there is one activity that can benefit students in every school across the nation? An activity that helps students to raise their grades and scores on standardized testing? An activity that allows students to form lasting friendships? An activity that will help students become more disciplined and confident? Would you let your child take that activity? It is very likely that you answered yes to one of these questions. Who doesn’t want the best for their children? Luckily, this “activity” is accessible almost everyone. Unfortunately, many schools will not make it a part of their curriculum. This “activity” is something that everyone is aware of, but easily neglected. This activity is music.
Lines, spacing, color and shapes are the basic elements of art. I believe art is an expression of the body, mind, and soul of an individual. I also believe art shouldn 't have any boundaries, nor should have restrictions. I believe art always has something to say, but never needs to make a statement. The audience always has the right to interpret art as they see fit. Everyone has their own criteria set when it comes to art. But art is subjective and the artist shows you their views and interpretations.
