He wants you to have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus, His Son. There is just one thing that separates you from God. That one thing is sin. The Bible describes sin in many ways. Most simply, sin is our failure to measure up to God’s holiness and His righteous standards.
The troublesome aspect of Christianity is that not everyone can go to heaven. Everyone doesn 't go to heaven because people don 't ask God into their heart and don 't completely have faith in him. Christianity influences a person’s thinking and behavior of its followers physically, mentally, and emotionally. Just by following simple instructions and striving to live life as Christ did. Jesus sacrificed his life and was crucified for
Here Solomon says that wisdom is a benefit of life to gain understanding, but the sole purpose of our existence is to please God, so focus on that. But in other portions of the bible, it says to live life wisely, and avoid thinking like the foolish. Part of God’s will is to be a wise person. Similarly, the poet Kahlil Gibran said, “The wise man is the one who loves and reveres God” (61). To Gibran, reverence to God defines a man who is wise.
The concept of love to God and man is associated with selfless behavior and universal acceptance. However, at all times there have been enough fundamentalist movements in Christianity to show discrepancy between Christian principles and actual social behavior of some of its followers. The goal of our work is to determine inner personal features that correlate with religious fanaticism
By the power of prayer, the mind will slowly attain tranquility and bliss. For those who seek eternal peace, free the mind of pride and prejudice, prayer is an essential step towards such goal. The rest, leave it to God. Whenever mankind has been thinking of the need of divine aid for salvation, there has been an emphasis on a personal relationship with the savior-god concerned. Such relationships usually indicate faith in and loving devotion and service towards the deity; and, such services may involve moral and social obligations.

Ephesians 4:17-24 - Nihilism doesn’t hear 17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. 18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. 19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. 20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to put off your old self,[f] which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness Introduction Context - Chapter 1-3 Indicative - 4:1 “Therefore” (start of Imperitive) o 4:1-6 Unity in the community of God’s People o 4:7-16 Diversity in the community of God’s People 1. A couple of months ago we were asked to reflect on our religious experiences and write a short paper that details moments in our lives where we experienced grace or when we experienced doubt and confusion in regard to our faith. In it, I questioned the value of prayer in our lives as well as the nature of God himself because I believe he let all these bad things happen to the world even though he had the power to stop these things. In the two or three months that have passed I have learned a great number of things about our Faith and our God and it has changed how I view certain things. I know now that prayer is important and God is indeed helping us deal with all the evil in the world and additionally, although not found in my previous paper, that salvation is universal. In my first reflection paper, I questioned the importance of prayer in our lives.
We must compromise sin for righteousness; un-holiness for holiness. How can we remember God as Creator if we never get to know Him in and through righteousness? The youth of today is fainting and is weary; falling into sin early on in life. Why? Why do we fight coming to Christ and giving up sin?
