I think the objectives set forth in Healthy People are a step in the right direction. They set goals that may not always be reached 100% but they are realistic and attainable. They always show improvement in areas that need work. However, there are some discrepancies that definitely stop the progress that Healthy People has set forth.
Almost everyone makes a goal for the new year; not many people accomplish their goal. The people who keep their goal most likely had a plan for completion. This year, I have created a goal for myself; I want to challenge myself to be the best athlete I can be. This year, I hope to improve on giving softball my all. Sometimes in softball, I don’t give 110% as I should.
Proper health can also help with increasing lifespan, wellbeing, and reduces stress. Some of the requirements to being healthy include eating a balanced diet, getting proper exercise, and favorable social conditions. The last point in the previous sentence, favorable social conditions, is a must.
