Abstract - At present we seek the service of Internet Service Providers to connect us to the global network. The telephone companies or the telecommunication operators provides this service. This is reachable only to 1/3 of the world's population . The remaining 2/3 are not able to get internet access. In order to provide internet connection to everyone around the globe especially, it is not possible to lay the telecommunication lines all around. Since the

The radios and antennas are designed such that it can send and receive signals from project loon only. The users send signals by the stationary antenna attached to their building. The top of the balloon envelope consists of a reflector disc and a pair of patch antenna kept parallel. The signals from the user are reflected to the patch antenna. Simultaneously, it also receives direct waves. These two waves interfere constructively only for the correct wavelength that are to be received. The received signals bounces from balloon to balloon and finally reaches the ground station which are spaced about 100 km (62 mi) apart and joins the global network with pre-existing internet infrastructure, like our local telecommunications partners. This is cost effective compared to satellite communication, where the service cost exceeds the monthly income of a common man. The developing countries that cannot afford to lay fibre cables is greatly
When one receives a signal, it must wait for the transmitter to stop transmitting, before replying. In these half-duplex systems, if more than one emits a transmission at the same time, a collision will occurs and messages will be lost. The messages sent by nodes are corrupted. The receiving nodes receive random data.

Are there logical or emotional appeals that can affect a reader? Could it temporarily or maybe even permanently affect your personal opinion? In the article “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” by Nicholas G. Carr, there is a clear effect of multiple forms of appeals being used in his writing. The excellent use of tone, fiction, and multiple rhetorical devices make his article a well-written one. The author uses logos, mainly because he’s trying to appeal to a more logical and more intelligent audience.
Summary of "Is Google Making Us Stupid" by Nicholas Carr The internet has become a necessity for many people these days, it provides quick information and is a primary source of knowledge. In the article, "Is Google Making Us Stupid", the author Nicholas Carr, is describing the effects that technology has on the human brain. Carr begins with a scene from the end of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, where supercomputer HAL is being disconnected by astronaut Dave Bowman who was sent to space on a deadly mission by the machine.
Nicolas Carr, an author and researcher, insinuates that people who use computers and the internet are becoming more shallow human beings and that this technological tool, despite its advantages that are applauded by many, is harming society as a whole. Carr has discussed these thoughts in his book The Shallows, on television in an interview with Stephen Colbert, and in an article in The Atlantic entitled “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” While Carr believes that the internet has its place and that it has been extremely helpful to him as a researcher and writer, he also believes that the internet encourages multitasking and boosts superficiality. I share these same thoughts with Carr. While the internet has been extremely helpful in producing a more efficient and fast-paced environment, it has at the same time produced challenges and weaknesses in our society, like multitasking and frivolity.
In the article, “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” by Nicholas Carr, the author argues that the internet is changing the way we think. He starts talking about himself and how he felt that something is changing his brain. The author states that people don’t read as deep as they used to be. His research techniques have changed in several ways. I don’t agree with him.
“Is Google Making Us Stupid” is an article written by Nicholas Carr, where Carr tries to make the point that our ability to read books and other long pieces of information is being affected by the internet's ability to become our primary source of information. Carr States (2008) “ And what the net seems to be doing is chipping away my capacity for concentration and contemplation”(p.610).Even though the internet offers a highly efficiencient way of knowledge, it also melts our brain's ability to learn by experience. Carr starts by sharing a problem with the us about how he can hardly focus anymore when reading more the three or four pages. Carr goes on to prove how information on the internet is meant to be consis, and meant to get the point
I feel that after my research I can justify that Merlin Entertainments operates by the divisional (diversified) organisational type. I feel this way because the central headquarters of Merlin Entertainments supports a number of different divisions and venues that operate differently and in different locations throughout the world, Merlin have multiple divisions e.g. Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Madame Tussauds. These operate throughout the world in numerous locations. Merlin Entertainments have a central board of directors who make the decisions that will affect Merlin Entertainments on a wide scale and all of their divisions respectively. These board of directors have the responsibility to make the correct decisions so that Merlin Entertainments
Nowadays, the internet is the biggest marketing and media tool that people can use today. It can have various effects on people’s daily life ranging from bad to beneficial. In the essay “Is Google making us stupid” by Nicholas Carr writes about how internet usage in the 21st century is changing people’s reading habit and a cognitive concentration. Particularly, he emphasizes on Google’s role in this matter and its consequences on making people machine like. Carr also stated that the online reading largely contributes to people’s way of reading a book.
CHAPTER: (1) Introduction 1.1 Problem Summary and Introduction: The goal for our group is to design a ping pong ball launcher. The launcher needs to be scheduled to launch one solo ping pong ball one at a time over a set obstacle and into a bucket of a chosen diameter. The determination is for the launcher to have the capability to launch five ping pong balls one at a time into the container within one minute, having none of the ping pong balls bounce out or miss the bucket. The launcher can be made out of any matter preferred and can launch the ping pong ball in any anticipated way, except by explosion.
I. OVERVIEW Google’s human resource management involves different strategies to address the workforce needs of this diversified business organization. This diversification imposes significant challenges to human resource managers of the company. Nonetheless, there are certain HRM approaches that are generally applied to different areas of Google. For instance, in human resource planning, Google’s HR managers focus on the effective use of forecast information to minimize the surplus or shortage of employees, and to establish a balance between the supply and demand for qualified employees.
1. Introduction This case study explained how Google embarked on Project Aristotle to study about their teams so as to determine what made a successful team. In managing the complex organisational environments in Google, managers were faced with a lack of mutual communication within the senior engineer’s team.
