Section 1: Background
Google glass is a kind of small wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display which is put in front the user’s eyes. It is developed by Google and the target users are general public. Wearing Google glass, users can read the information in a smartphone-like hands-free format. User can communicate with internet service through natural languages command.

Google glass is developed by Google X which is the high technology development department in Google and specialize in autonomous vehicles and other advanced technologies. In 1995, US military started to study head-mounted display. Compared with head-mounted display in the past, Google glass is more lightweight and convenient. To start Google glass, wearers have to head up the belief of 30 degrees (This angle can be adjusted in the settings), or click on the touchpad, and said, "OK, Glass." After starting Google glass, wearers can then tell the order to command, for example, “Scan the barcode”, “Record a soundtrack”, “WhatsApp with Eric”, “Google search ‘How to build a gaming PC?’ ”, “Give me directions to the Buckingham Palace” or “Open the folder ‘Pictures’ ” Wearers can hear the search result by the speech of Google glass, speech is delivered through bone conduction, so other people around will be almost impossible to hear.

Now a days, Google glass is not common in our daily life. Google glass can be developed and promote more in the future. If scientists and engineers can eliminate limitations such as privacy, price, distraction and other health or safety problems, every people can make use of Google glass and improve our quality of life. Usability is a user-centered design concept. Usability design focus on how to make the design of the product to match up with the users’ habits and requirement. Taking website design as an example, developers hope the users will not feel frustrated and ensure the users can use least amount of effort to maximize performance when using the function in the website.

In definition of usability, ISO (International Organization for Standardization) defines usability as "The extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction in a specified context of use."

When evaluating the usability of the user interface, the definition can be simplified to the effectiveness operation interface (with the purpose), and efficiency (time required to use) the target users feel.
