Google was founded in 1995 and became incorporated in 1998 (Google, 2014). Google is operated in the U.S headquarters and the company started operating as a search engine which was successfully leading the market globally after few years. However, governmental issues regarding censorship in China arose and forced Google to drop the Chinese market.
Google’s primary business is to provide free search service while generating its revenues mainly from its online advertising business. Over the years Google purchased a variety of potential start-up companies while providing new services and products. Due to the fact that Google targets the global market, its products and services are offered in more than hundred languages (Reuters, 2014) to cover for different countries.
Although the company main recognition remains with Google search engine, it yet offers a range of products such as e-mail service, social networking and online storage service. The ability of providing such products, Google experienced a quick growth in the internet market. Google advertising tools such as Google Adwords, provides adverts in the form of text content, videos, images, etc... Google have diverse advertising opportunities for various businesses with different budgets. However, a country changing political policies towards businesses could affect the business’s marketing (gregglee.bi). A firm with tighter budgets that might arise from political instability could easily tend to advertise with Google’s competitors at cheaper rates such as Yahoo and Bing Network, which companies still provide successful advertising
