Google was founded in 1995 and became incorporated in 1998 (Google, 2014). Google is operated in the U.S headquarters and the company started operating as a search engine which was successfully leading the market globally after few years. However, governmental issues regarding censorship in China arose and forced Google to drop the Chinese market.
Google’s primary business is to provide free search service while generating its revenues mainly from its online advertising business. Over the years Google purchased a variety of potential start-up companies while providing new services and products. Due to the fact that Google targets the global market, its products and services are offered in more than hundred languages (Reuters, 2014) to cover for different countries.

Summary of "Is Google Making Us Stupid" by Nicholas Carr The internet has become a necessity for many people these days, it provides quick information and is a primary source of knowledge. In the article, "Is Google Making Us Stupid", the author Nicholas Carr, is describing the effects that technology has on the human brain. Carr begins with a scene from the end of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, where supercomputer HAL is being disconnected by astronaut Dave Bowman who was sent to space on a deadly mission by the machine.
In my opinion, I think that these companies are changing the world and making it worse. We should be able to have great technology. The appeals have been used for centuries are still prevalent in all types of modern day propaganda.
