At eight years old, my mom took me to my first Badger Football game. She reminisced about memories of once being a Badger while I envisioned myself future-self as a Badger. She told me about her long walks up Bascom Hill and her favorite moments on State Street. She inspired me to strive to be a Badger.
After visiting Madison three separate times (all for graduations of different family members), it made me want it more. I examined how thankful my sister and cousins were for the education they had received. Each of my family members had a path ready when they graduated; that is what I wanted. Both cousins had a job, and my sister is currently attending Graduate school at Marquette University.

I have an extensive love for the language because I have learned it since the age of four. From grades kindergarten to senior year, I have became extremely proficient in the language. I can read, write, and speak well. I want the University of Wisconsin Madison to help me better understand the unique culture. In the future, I hope to speak the Spanish language fluently. Madison will allow me to attend Conversation Tables that test my speaking abilities.
The Study Abroad Program is a major reason I would like to attend the University of Wisconsin Madison.
