To the Younger Generation, oh how I wish there was an easy way to get through this thing they call high school. To be honest, I would search for that every day of my life as I go through high school and I can say that there is no easy way. High school is a necessary evil that is different for every single person that attends. It is fun and then it is not want you would like at all. As you venture through it you will soon realize these things and this is my way of telling you how to best go through it with the most ease.
Many students believe that high school seniors should be provided with privileges in honor of their completion of high school. Seniors, they argue, deserve additional rights, considering that they are practically adults and will soon be attending college. To further this transition, as well as prepare for it, there have been numerous privileges granted to high school seniors across the nation, ranging from primary parking to the shortening of schedules. At GHS, senior privileges are implied rather than established.
Everyone in high school could use a hero and LaBarge found his. Thoreau was an inspiration to LaBarge and influenced his decisions and actions, much like the “heroes” of today. Today people, especially teenagers, look to celebrities as a guide. They believe that if they can have the same style or act the same way as their favorite star, then they will be accepted or become popular. This is not always the case.
I used to think that going to high school would be scary, but with all my friends and everything that my teachers have taught me, all I feel now is excited. I want it to be the first day of 9th grade fast, I want to start High School. I know that my friends would be here when I need them as well as teachers willing to help me. So it 's time today to end the second part of our education and enter the third. It 's time to leave behind the middle school facility, say goodbye to the U14 teams and be introduced to JV, and most of all, time to go from the middle school community that we 're familiar with, that we love, and that we are in charge of, and go upstairs to the bigger, busier, and honestly, scarier high school, where we will all be 9th graders.
There are many different things that can impact students in their high school years. Whether these things are friends, activities, or the sports they participate in they all impact the student. Many opportunities are presented to students in high school, although not many impacts the student beyond high school, I believe this opportunity will impact me forever. I would love to be a part of the Early College Program this coming spring. I believe the program will do nothing but help me grow and strive to be a better student and continue being involved.

This scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for students of GVSU, and I am honored to be considered for this scholarship. I believe that I am a great applicant for this scholarship, and that I deserve this scholarship. One reason I deserve this scholarship is because of my strong academic courses. Throughout my high school career, I pushed myself academically by taking a total of 10 AP classes and 7 honors classes. These classes were all challenging, yet I pushed through with determination to complete the classes to the best of my ability.
Has it always been necessary to attend college after high school? Well, it has always been a very promoted "mainstream" idea among many. While actually going to college has its many benefits, it also has its downsides. But how beneficial the aftermath is, is all up to a decision, options, and availability. Even though College does bring new experiences, it furthers education, its 's an overall challenge, and in the end, you still have the certification.
I absolutely love working with high school students. I taught high school before, but counseling in a high school creates a different dynamic with the students. I love interaction, relationship with students, counseling and diversity of each day. Working with students and families through the college admissions process is quite rewarding and provides a nice balance to the problems that I handle day to day. I love the positive and proactive spirit of applying to college and the excitement it brings to the student.

Our dad would have been 76 today. I miss him as much today as I did the day he left his earthly body behind to transcend into the heaven. The older I get the more I realize just how lucky we were to call him Pops! I wouldn't be the man I am today without his guidance.
