When Facundo returned to La Rioja to rule with a brutal and iron fist, there was a civil war going on. He pursued women, gambled, and executed those that opposed him. Facundo eventually sought refuge in Buenos Aires to escape his enemies and traveled to Mendoza and obliterated the once beautiful city. Afterwards Paz was captured and Facundo headed back to San Juan. Sarmiento views this as a great tragedy, for it could have been such a productive region.

The Argentina dirty war took place between 1976-1979. The Dirty War in Argentina started after a military junta overthrew President Isabel Martínez de Perón and established a military dictatorship. The military dictatorship took over the country, and ran rampant, doing anything they wanted to. The military seized people from the streets, they were likely to never be seen again. Cases like the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory and the factory that collapsed in Bangladesh, killing over one thousand people, ever happen. Those who keep their escaping employees cooped up when the building they are working in is about to implode should be tried for mass killings. How can somebody be so selfish, and let profit get in the way of thousands of lives ending? This is a violation of Human Rights.
The article informs the public about the impeachment proceedings that are facing Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff…the leader of the largest economy within Latin America. The court has found President Rousseff’s administration with violations upon the fiscal responsibility laws, of which she has used the money from state-created banks to fill the budget gaps and pay for social programs. If the impeachment passes within the House, President Rousseff will be temporarily removed from office for six months, of which will allow the Senate a decent amount of time to decide upon permanent removal of President Rousseff. This becomes an stronger issue, as the President (of which nearly won her re-election last year) is facing a degrading view upon her image if she is found guilty. However, their is hope for President Rousseff.
