These evil acts are caused by their ambition and thirst for power. These stories prove that when people gain power they aren’t satisfied and feel the need to acquire more. Consequently, their personalities drastically change along the way. Jack remains sane, however he becomes a bloodthirsty, savage tyrant while Macbeth becomes an insane, delusional tyrant. Both of these characters become drastically more evil throughout their stories.
The dual suicides from both the lovers portray the ultimate expression of their undying love for each other. Only through death may each be happily reunited and maintain the extensive bond between them. The clash between love versus hate is especially represented during Romeo and Juliets first meeting. Once Juliet learns of Romeos lineage, she says, my only love sprung from my only hate (I, v, 139).
"Pyramus and Thisbe" is a story of love and sadness. Two lovers named Pyramus and Thisbe plan to elope, but end up taking their own lives. After Aeneas and his troops land near Libya, Aeneas meets Dido, who presents him with another challenge. Dido is a widow who was once married to a rich husband, Sychaeus, who was killed by Dido’s greedy brother, Pygmalion. After the tragic death of her husband, Dido escapes to Libya and starts to build a new settlement there. After hearing about each others past struggles, the two characters, Aeneas and Dido, show compassion for one another and build a relationship until a messenger is sent to remind Aeneas’s of his destiny. The emotions between the two love birds affects both characters, as one commits suicide, and the other forgets about his destiny.
Firstly at the beginning of the play the servants from the two families engage in a fight (1.1.64). It shows that their hatred for each other is so great that they will turn to violence when confronting each other. Secondly, Tybalt tries to kill Romeo on multiple accounts. For example, Tybalt says “Fetch me my rapier, boy” after seeing Romeo at the party (1.5.62). This demonstrates his tenacity and determination to kill Romeo.
