ENVIROMENT&CSR ASSIGNMENT QUESTION (1):-Do you agree that human activity is creating greenhouse gases? Briefly discuss 10 arguments that shows the same from documentary? ANSWER (1):- Yes. I feel that human activities are a major source of green house gases. Human’s activities contribute greatly to global warming. Now coming on to what is green house effect and what are greenhouse gases that are responsible for this type of effect in the environment. A green house gas is some harmful gas in the atmosphere that absorbs infrared radiation, which ultimately leads to increase in the temperature, this increase of heat in the atmosphere is called green house effect. Due to sudden increase in the temperature of the earth many insects started breeding which led to increase in diseases. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… QUESTION(2):- Which of the argument presented on the movie was most convincing and why? ANSWER (2) :-Effect of the green house gases on the wildlife has been the most convincing part of the documentary. Al gore stated many facts and there were many pictures available showing such effects. Examples of the adverse effect of global warming were also available . The way in which all the data were presented in the documentary was commendable and it used very tempting pictures. Use of facts and figures made it further more interesting. Al Gore also cracked some jokes in the middle of movie to gather the attention. Some of the instances are as follows:- a) Increase in the temperature leads to melt down in the arctic region, which in turn may effect the life style of the polar beers and other polar animals. ANSWER (4):- We are living in the competitive world in which there are various measures to control global warming and in this world of technology there is sufficient technology to control emissions of green house gases. Some the measures by which we can successfully reduce global warming are as follows:- a) Increased use of renewable resources:- We should increase our use of renewable sources and shift towards solar energy rather than still be dependent on coal and other fossil fuels. b) Limits need to set for carbon emissions :- There should be limits for every vehicle or for every individual with respect to the carbon emissions which they need to comply with. Any emissions above that limit may be fined. c) Clean energy economy:- Investment in efficient energy technologies, industries and various other alternatives of coal and fossil fuels is recommended. d) Decrease in deforestation:- There is need to put a break on rate at which forest are depleted as its directly lead to global
