Small-holder tea growers from Giasaiga Sub-location in Sameta sub-County have been warned against hawking their green leaf tea to multi-national companies,since the move threatens to ground operations of the Kenya Tea Development Agency(KTDA) run tea factories in the area.
Nyakegogi NC46 Buying Centre,contracted to Nyamache Tea Factory ,Chairman Nyabuto Keengu has raised a red flag that,if the current trend where KTDA registered growers hawk their green leaf tea continues,it will preside over grounding of operations of KTDA factories in the region.
