Gun Control/The weapon of Choice Gun Control laws have been up for debate lately as to whether they should be regulated or not in the United States. I think it depends on what type of control over guns is being enforced. As many may know handguns are easily concealed, and they are often the weapon of choice for people who choose to use them for self-defense. Sadly they are also the weapon of choice for criminals which makes it harder for the responsible gun owners and this is where the Gun Control facts play a key role in decision making. Gun control supporters believe that completely banning handguns is the best way to protect citizens, “but there are already nearly 300 million privately owned guns in the US or about nine guns for every 10
If gun ownership is controlled by the government, only a limited number of people will be allowed to own guns. In addition, the regulations will make it difficult for people to access guns unless they have a concrete reason as to why they need the weapon. Moreover, if the ownership of guns is limited, it will help prevent unnecessary deaths and violence caused by gun owners, especially students. Gun ownership should be totally controlled and regulated by the government because they will help in limiting the number of people who own guns. When gun
The National Rifle Association strives to protect the rights of gun owners and make the use of guns safer. Regardless, many believe guns are too dangerous and should be outlawed. That would only allow for criminals to have guns and leave law-abiding citizens with no means of
Do you have a gun in your household? Should people carry guns with them? Michael Steele once said,”You can have all the gun control laws in the country, but if you don 't enforce them, people are going to find a way to protect themselves. We need to recognize that bad people are doing bad things with these weapons. It 's not the law-abiding citizens, it 's not the person who uses it as a hobby.“Gun control is an important thing to know about and why it either helps people or doesn’t help them.
Gun control brings about many issues of citizen rights and legalities. There are many benefits and disadvantages of gun control. Some proponents of gun control would argue things such as; the constitution says only militias should be allowed arms, and that it doesn 't allow unlimited ownership. Also, they might say the constitution is dated and did not intend to allow “assault” rifles. Some other arguments may include things such as: reduced violence with less weapons, guns
There are accidental deaths that happen everyday where a child accidentally shoots him or herself or someone else. One of the most dangerous myths of America’s gun debate is that passing federal gun control laws is the only way to prevent gun violence and save lives and that therefore the issue is hopeless and nothing will change. Another big way to reduce gun violence is Demand that
At its core, gun control will bring background checks and gun registration to gun shows, which can provide a proper background check for the mental health of the buyer. More so, military grade weapons must only be sold to—here it is (said with humorous irony)—the military, and not to individuals that can use these weapons with malicious intent. Finally, I know there are many Americans that own guns in s responsible and regulated manner, but the continuing trend of mass shootings are examples of the dangers of unregulated weapon sales to mentally ill individuals. Let’s get the guns under control, before we lose control of our great American
In the past few years, there has been a strong debate on gun control. With events like Connecticut and Colorado, the use of guns has been a growing discussion that has a rapidly increasing audience. Many debates whether banning guns strips away your second amendment right to bear arms or such events are not justified as a reason to take away guns. But the fact is, you can’t blame the guns for the crimes, they only work in the hands of the partaker. So the government should not regulate the use, sale, and purchase the of firearms, but instead, install and enforce stricter laws when purchasing firearms.
After doing research on the Second Amendment I am still leaning towards both sides of this yes i do believe it’s a good idea to have a gun for your own protection and then i am aware of the risks of people obtaining weapons. Now a days you don 't know what to expect and if you will ever encounter a situation where a gun would be needed. Police officers can’t be everywhere at all times many lives could be saved if people had protection in their
Gun Control Gun control is a very controversial issue. There are always two sides to every issue. For every person that agrees with the right to carry a firearm, there is one that disagrees. The second amendment protects the right to own a gun. Many groups feel the amendment should be rewritten.
This is a good rule but only in some situations, because if this rule is in place and someone is allowed to have a weapon then they couldn’t do anything also if this was in place it would be much harder to do things like hunting and other gun sports. Beginning with, A lot of people own guns. In an article on mcpl there was an article about
The thing that people don 't understand is that, yes gun owners want to take advantage of this open carry law, but most people that have their license will still conceal their weapons as they don 't want the attention. Most say that when the heat, calms down on all the law changing that they might be more comfortable with open carrying so it’s more of a usual thing to be around. Now gun carriers know all the risk of having their guns visible. Most of the instructors that teach the classes tell them that showing your gun can possibly make you the first target in a situation. Having an open carry they know that it could backfire on them.
A common misconception is that guns are only used for hunting and you don’t need and AR15 to hunt. Not only is that false but the second amendment has nothing to do with hunting. The second amendment is there to protect American citizens from any threats to their livelihood, whether that be a robber, any form of civil unrest, a foreign army invading or even a dangerous animal, the America people have always needed the safety of guns. Almost daily there are stories of guns saving lives that go unnoticed. Today many people are against gun ownership because they have never needed to use them or can afford body guards so that they won’t need to own guns themselves.
