School shootings are a serious matter that needs to be solved immediately, we don’t know when the next one will take place so we need to start now by taking precautions. This does not mean take away guns or create a more stricter gun law because the people who are willing to do this are most likely willing to get a gun illegally. But what this does mean is raise your kids the right way. If your kid has no self control in your house, how do you expect him/her to have respect and self control when they leave the house. If you raise them right and they make their mistakes after they leave the parents house then its on them, but if its because they were raised with everything just showing up in their hands with no work or deserving of anything, …show more content…
Take for example Chicago, they have the strictest gun laws in the country yet they still have about 4,000 shootings a year. This is proving that no matter what gun laws you pass it isn’t gonna change the people who want to have them are gonna get them. Legally isn’t the only way you can get your hands on a gun. More than three thousand more stabbings have led to fatalities then firearms. About 9,000 firearms deaths and 12,000 stabbings. So people who wanna kill others that bad aren’t gonna be stopped by telling them what they are doing is bad considering that 75% percent of shooters killed the self or had suicide by cop. So they don’t care because the law isn’t gonna affect them if they are dead which they usually intend to happen. Here's something else to get your brain thinking, Eric’s mom knew about his gun purchases and explosive purchases, she just did nothing. He came from an upper class family where everything was given to him without any effort on his side since day one. I’m not saying have nice things is a bad thing, im saying if you don’t earn anything that its a bad
However, this man shouldn't have been able to legally buy the firearm due to his criminal background. (Gun Control Laws) This example shows that if we have stricter background checks, we could save lives. Lastly, studies show when applying stricter gun laws less crime occurs. In other countries when they established stricter gun laws, less homicides, suicides, and mass shootings had occurred.
Making it to where people can’t have gun honestly makes them want them even more. For instance when a mother tells a child then can’t do something that makes them want to do it even more than before, so therefore why do they think making laws about guns will make the crime go down. Honestly
The shootings that have happened in schools throughout America over the past few months has divided Americans on what they need to do as a nation to stop additional shootings from occouring. Many believe that creating new laws on buying weapons by requiring background checks, holding adults liable for the actions of their kids and requiring safety devices on weapons to stop youngsters will stop these massacres in schools from happening, it 's a step in the right direction, however, it 's not good enough nor is it effective enough, America needs well regulated gun laws and the politicians must understand that the laws should be based on facts, not opinions. There are several problems that need to be looked at in order to determine which laws are necessary. According to a recent study, America has the highest amount gun related deaths every year in the world. “Germany, has 371 gun related deaths, France 255, Canada 165, the united kingdom 68, Australia 65, Japan 39 and America, 11,200”.
For thousands of shooting crimes happening in the U.S., many of them have the titles started with “elementary school” or “women”. Most recently, a six-year-old boy was injured and died during a shooting at a South Carolina elementary school, and the Sandy Hook Elementary school. These killings lead to the losing of lives and the sorrow for those families. Those primary students do not know how to use a gun, or they do not hold guns to school. So they cannot benefit from the self-defense function from guns, the only thing they get is the life threat
According to the CDC, “Guns are responsible for over thirty-three thousand deaths in the United States annually. Gun Control is a set of laws that controls the use of guns by civilians. The Gun Control Act was signed as October 22, 1968 but was updated in 1993. As of February 23, 2018 seventy percent of people favor stricter gun laws and twenty-seven oppose of them. I believe that the Gun Control Laws should be stricter here around the United States because almost everyday something bad is happening by the use of a gun.
In light of the recent school shootings, many parents, students, and other civilians believe the US should impose stricter gun control laws. Many people do not understand the reason for stricter gun laws. Some of the reasons on why we should create and impose stricter gun control laws is because, our students need better learning environments, the laws would be safer for the public, and we have to face the fact that the NRA (National Rifle Association) has too much influence in our government today. The developing children today, the adults of tomorrow, they need healthy and safe place to learn and thrive as students and people.
As Marco Rubio often proclaimed during the primary campaign: "My skepticism about gun laws is criminals don 't follow the law.” People won’t follow laws. People will find ways to bypass laws and commit
A weapon in the wrongs hands is the maximum danger humanity can face. Nowadays, violence and delinquency in society are viewed as the maximum problem solver. Humanity is full of chaos; hate and envy seize our souls. Guns are the ultimate security for some citizens but for others, these add to a feeling of defenselessness. Throughout history, any topic related to guns means a plethora of problems.
This week in, las vegas nevada, there was a mass shooting that left 59 people dead. Due to these recent , and horrible, events we are now forced to talk about a topic that has been extremely controversial in our country for some time now, gun control. I am here to talk about my opinion on gun control, how it could fail if not done properly and how the incident in las vegas is affecting our society. You see it in the recent headlines everywhere now “ LAS VEGAS MASSACRE: WHY WE NEED GUN CONTROL”. There's constant bashing towards those who lean to the right of the political spectrum, such as myself , for disliking the concept of gun control.
Gun Control Gun control has become a polarizing and controversial issue around the globe. There have been many reported issues of mass shootings both in schools and in the public, making it a hot button issue. Proponents argue that, if the government strictly controls the ownership of guns, such tragedies can be prevented. Most Americans have an obsession with guns because the law allows them to do so. Therefore, they are always ready to scoff at anyone trying to control gun ownership.
Clearly, it has been demonstrated that the massive use of guns had only brought chaos and many innocent deaths in the society. Some vast examples are terrorism and the massive shootings. Hence they must create laws to control this dilemma that is only affecting the citizens. Through the years a lot of innocent people have been dead since the number of guns that citizens are allowed to get and have it in the United State. This issue was not common if the United States implemented more laws that will prevent people get guns to eradicate massacre like the Vegas mass shooting and prevent suicide, since that even teenagers in those days have guns in her hands and that 's the main reason of massacres, death, and terrorism in the United State.
Guns are just a tool, like knives and hammers and it completely depends on the people on how they use it. People who support guns and arms say that the Second Amendment secures individual’s right to carry guns with them and that gun rights is needed for self-protection, and was intended for military to have peace and defend the country if needed (Spitzer, 70). Most of the Americans use guns as a source to protect themselves and they believe that gun ownership prevents crime. A study conducted on November 26, 2013 showed that bans on weapons did not significantly affect murder rates at the state level (Lane, 5). Moreover, even if the rules and regulations are executed on gun control, not all criminals obey the law.
This way of thinking is understandable because if we don't get weapons, then how are we supposed to protect ourselves. I also disagree with this because if the laws are more strict then there will be less crime and this will make them not want to do the right thing. Some argue that making gun control laws more strict is not the best way to go. ( Sheldon Richman) argues that gun control is ineffective at preventing crime.
The path toward gun control in America From a rifle obtained for hunting to a pistol handled sport, the people of the United States apply their right to carry firearms. While it might be suitable for Americans to enjoy this hobby, there are some people who want nothing more than uncivil anarchy. Criminals & convicts could be flooding the streets while lunatics could open fire on innocent lives at schools & churches. Although the nation has this privilege, suicides, homicides, and mass-shooting are spreading across the country. The government has done little to stop a background check control by Congress.
one thursday morning a guy walked in a school and killed 13 kids for no reason. this has lead to an ongoing argument about whether the less gun control is needed. even tho there has been tragedies stricter gun control will not help with anything. the first reason we don't need more gun laws is that people who legally have gun need them. some people need guns for protection.
