Los Angeles in 1992 was one of the largest cities in the United States. It had a population of more than 8 million people. With the city growing, cultural diversity was spreading throughout the area. However, this rapid growth was not all favorable towards the city. Tensions were growing with citizens and the police.
The Ninth Amendment states: “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be constructed or deny or disparage others retained by the people” (Bill of Rights). This amendment was made to protect people’s rights. Including things like marriage, abortion, slavery, and police conduct. However, this modification has been compromised several times in the past and the present.
For the past couple years there has been many injustice cases involving poor accusations of innocent victims. These poor accusations of innocent victims include shootings of innocent African Americans. One way to avoid these problems is the use of body cams. These tiny cameras have saved a Police Officer 's job, justified an innocent victim, and even has saved a person 's life. Recently Police Departments have been using these such body cameras and have seen significant results.
Imagine an individual, getting ready for their slumber. Now imagine an intruder breaking into there window with the intention to shoot anyone in its way. Recall that the homeowner is unable to legally defend himself and must retreat from the intruder. This scenario can be possible in all 50 states, but only Seventeen states do not give people the right to legally defend themselves, even if confronted with a person holding a weapon. This means a innocent person attempting to defend their family or himself would wrongly get accused if the intruder got injured.
Tomorrow is not a promise. It is good to live your life to the fullest. This year, everything has been occurring. Everyday there is a shooting taking place which is becoming scarier every day to live. I live in North Miami there are things occurring here and there.

Proportional Responses If someone does something to you, then you’ll most likely want to do it back right? Sometimes this can cause bad situations to worsen. I think a proportional response is bad, it makes things worse, causes retaliation, and it can potentially hurt our country.
One of the main controversies about the police at this current time is police brutality to minorities and people of color. This has been occurring for many years but it has been specifically now a days brought up back into the view by the public when “brutality” against African Americans occur. Throughout these reasons years it has been put into view but you see more and more everyday. Relating this to history the police force was originally developed back in the day back when the Jim Crow Era was occurring and the police system was enforced by white males where people of color were no where to be seen within the system. What is occurring now is basically a repeat of history from back in the day.
Welcome to the twenty-first century where fingers are ruthlessly pointed at individuals primarily for being different. This generation is no different from the generation of 1692 during the Salem Witch Trials. As human beings, people allow fear to take over and negatively impact their actions. Just as in The Crucible, people miraculously imprisoned and executed innocent citizens because of the fear that they were witches. Shirley Jackson explains how, “We have exactly the same thing to be afraid of - the demon in men's minds which prompts hatred and anger and fear, an irrational demon which shows a different face to every generation.”
Homosexuals What exactly is a homosexual? A homosexual is anywhere from gay men, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender, also know as ‘LGBT’. Through the years many people have had a rough time accepting these people, some harder than others. People who are LGBT are usually attacked by hate, aggression and violence, physically and mentally.
