Cohen 's argument against using harm-causing reproductive technologies is, she believes it would be wrong to forge ahead with these technologies despite the significant proportion of children born with serious illness and disorders. People would find it hard to believe how someone who has made something of themselves would just give everything up and start a journey into the wilderness. Well that was the story behind Chris McCandless. Chris decided to drop his very successful college life and losing all links with his old life. Chris took a two year journey that went as far as to Mexico and ended in the the woods of Alaska. Some may believe that McCandless went into the wild because he was suicidal or faced a mental illness, but I believe that, he just wanted to find himself as a person so this journey was necessary.

Anne Anderson approached Jan Schlichtmann, a personal injury lawyer, to tackle the case. From the beginning, Anne makes it clear that she does not want money, she simply wants an apology. At first, Jan rejects the case because he does not see money being made from the case. However, after a fateful encounter with a police due to speeding, Jan had the chance to scan the environment which promptly changed his mind

People have different views on what success really means. Some say success is based on money or fame. If you have a lot of money or fame you're "definitely" successful. Others say success is based on your fulfillment and overall happiness in your life. Alfred Brooks, the protagonist in the novel The Contender by Robert Lypsite, has many friends, family, and supporters. Alfred also has almost no financial gain through boxing, but he's been inspired to work hard. Lastly, Alfred is very happy with his life even after his boxing career fails. On the other hand, Midge Kelly, the main character in the film "Champion," is the polar opposite of Alfred. Midge loses his friends, family, and supporters. Also, Midge is rich, but he dies alone and unhappy. At the end of the novel, Alfred Brooks is more successful than Midge Kelly is at the end of the movie.

Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. Many would believe that Chris McCandless went into the wild to purposely kill himself; however, I myself believe that McCandless did not do it purposely.

Alvarez uses Minerva’s demand that her father earn her respect to show how she created her own inner strength and power in order to challenge her gender role. The discovery that Minerva’s father has another family and has kept it a secret leads Minerva to feel betrayed. In response to his excuses she says, “’I don’t owe you a thing,’ I said. In "My Vassar College Commencement Speech for the Class of 2015" Arianna Huffington wrote and delivered this speech to the Vassar College graduating class of 2015.
