Introduction: Growing up as a little girl I knew that I would do anything to make my dreams come true. I knew that I would not let anyone stand in the way of my goals and dreams. My passion is to become a business owner of my own hair salon or beauty salon. Being the youngest out of my sister and me, I knew that I have a lot of pressure and expectations to follow behind. My parents always put pressure on to do well in school and go above and beyond especially when it came to grades. I remember the first time in middle school when I brought home a C on my report card. I was so disappointed and scared to show my parents. At that young age, disappointing my parents was not an option I had or something I wanted to experience. I remember going …show more content…
I want to own a hair salon or either a beauty salon. I want my hair salon to be for everyone. I want my beauty bar to have all services like manicures, pedicures, spa, and facials. I absolute love talking about beauty products and hair products. I am that girl who is always teaching people about new hair tips and new beauty products that I have tried. I constantly pictured myself owning my business. I want to be able to set my own rules and ethics for my brand. I not only what to own my own business but I want to own a successful business. To me owning a business and a successful business is to different things. I want to start an empire of salons all across the world. Then eventually open my first salon outside of the United States. I also want to have employees who believe in my brand, just as much as I do. From this article, one of the main lesson was “You're not hiring employees, you're building a team” (Braxton). I want to improve on my communication skills, business skills, marketing skills in order to reach my goal of opening my own business one day. I want to be one of the youngest black woman that little girls look up too and say “that I want to be just like her one day”. I want to make it a priority to teach women but also make sure I am teaching those who are less fortunate as well. I want to teach them how to have healthy hair and how to manage their skin and what healthy products to use. I would like to be able to give back to my community as well. Overall, I want to be one of the greatness

This is a very big thing to say but this is my ultimate goal when it comes to my career in journalism. I believe this is also a prime reason on why I am the best candidnate for this job. My mother and father have always wanted the best for me, like all good parents do. One of the many things that they expect from me is to receive a college education, something that they never had the chance to do. My parents always advise me to not to make the same mistakes as they did, to go to college so I can get a good job and not have to struggle in my life. With no alternative, my father had to drop out of school to help his family financially after his parents had gotten a divorce, and then he had received his GED.
After that I can pursue many possible job opportunities, such as working at a beauty salon. With the experience that I gain, I can continue to further my career and eventually move on to better places of employment. One day, I would want to own my own
My niece believes that I am a strong and smart person because she admires everything I do or say to her. One of the things that she tells me is that she wants to be like me. One day, I would like for her to be a dental hygienist like me. Finishing my career as dental hygienist will make my family proud of
I hope to bring diversity to all who walk on the campus. My background has shaped me into the intelligent African American woman I am today. Without growing up in the “hood”, I may have not been able to find the best career that interested me. I also would not have been able over all the challenges thrown at me. Instead I remained determined and motivated so that I was able to achieve all of the goals set before me.
Years after that I will own my own beauty salon in downtown LA and do a variety of peoples makeup and hair. Once I achieve my goal of opening up my own beauty
Since the age of 14 I knew being a cosmetologist was what I wanted to do I have always been very passionate about beauty I have always enjoyed the feeling of doing someone's hair or nails one of my favorite things was watching my friends faces after I did a manicure and how they love the designs and them being so amazed at my great work. It is such a great feeling to make someone feel that way. I have had numerous people tell me a cosmetology is my calling. But I already knew that. I could sit here and go on and on about everything I love about cosmetology but that would be a very long essay.
I believe I should be selected for the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Scholarship because I am not the typical high school senior. When it comes to my education, I go about and beyond expectations. My desire to do my best in school shows consistently year after year. I put in equal amount of effort when it comes to my after school activities and community involvement. I was told at a young age that education was the key to success and from that point on I made it my main priority not to be the average student among those that settle for less but to be a outstanding student that rises to every occasion to take advantage of my education.
I want to earn my way up to a good university and earn my degree, apply to an outstanding dental school and start my long years of residency that lie before me. One of my goals in the future is to help others in need for medical attention. It makes me happy when I see others happy. I want to give back to my community and help others so I can earn the respect that I’ve always wanted.
Why does every cosmetologist need to be a bit of an entrepreneur? Every cosmetologist needs to have a bit of entrepreneur that way they can always expand their business/career and attract more clients. If one person only knew how to do a basic smokey eye, but another person knew how to do a cut crease, glitter eye look, a dramatic eye liner look, and a smokey eye, chances are, more people are going to go to the person who has more creativity and is able to do all sorts of make up looks. It really just depends on the client’s preferences, but for the most part, clients are going to want to go to someone who knows how to create a variety of looks instead of being limited to one look.
My goal in school was to achieve above and beyond, only earning A’s and B’s so that one day I could take care of my parents. My parents never saw me as a “worthy” child since I was always compared to my older brother believing that I would follow in his footsteps; making his mistakes like dropping out of college and getting into trouble with law enforcement. They put me down and compared me
