Objective of the case To familiarize the students with the usefulness of SWOT analysis for decision-making purpose. Positioning of the case This case is meant for use in an introductory class in decision making the Postgraduate Management students to demonstrate the decision-making process. Technical notes that have to be supplied Students would have more and clear understanding on decision making. The chapter reading would help them to deepen their understanding about the topic. They have to go through the technical note as well as the case. • Each group should submit their SWOT worksheet, Hambrick’s Diamond Model which would be provided along with technical notes before coming to the class via email to the concerned faculty. • Each group should get prepared with a presentation by providing an answer to the question. Suggested question: Step into the shoes of the young entrepreneurs and give your decision, whether to expand or stick to their status quo (using SWOT Analysis and Hambrick’s Diamond Model)? ii) In the class: Ask any two groups in random to present their decision. Then, the facilitator would discuss the decision-making process using SWOT Analysis and Hambrick’s Diamond as a tool. iii) After class: No assignment is required after the class since the case ends with a clear understanding of the decision-making process.
