TASK II: APPLICATION OF RISK ASSESSMENT TECHNQUES – DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH SPEED AIR HAND DRYER
1.0 Introduction:
Hand dryers are electric appliances which commonly found in public washrooms used to dry hands. They either operate with a push button or automatically using an infrared sensor. In general, there are two different technology deployed in drying hands, “hot air” method and “high speed air” method. “Hot air” method is the most common type found in the market. It uses “hot air” to dry our hands. As for “high speed air” method, a high speed air is used to wipe off the water from hands much quicker than a “hot air” method. It is also more energy efficient due to it do not have to use extra energy to heat

The breakdown also enables the project team leader to determine the duration of each sub-assembly group
Risk assessment is conducted and detail risk assessment results are shown in Table 4. Figure 9 shows the risk matrix table of new high speed air hand dryer. A total of seven risks identified as “significant”, followed by seven “moderate” risks and balance are “low” risks. There is no “high” risk item identified by the project team.

Note: Refer to appendix 1, 2 & 3 on the classification of likelihood, consequences and risk rating
3.1 Project Plan
The project plan is illustrated in Figure 10 by using Microsoft excel. It enables the project team leader to update and revise as and when required. Based on project plan, the development lead times required is 15.5 months (66Weeks) against target of 18 months. Expected product ready for launching in May’2017 (target:
BSBMGT616 Develop and implement strategic plan Task 4 KPI Progress is to set goals for management to meet and for the company to grow. The KPI plan is 200 products installed. However, only 180 there installed in the past 12 months this is due to tourist slump with the strong Australian dollar. Another strategy will be to establish Australian Hardware Melbourne warehouse. Within two years Melbourne will open after Sydney open for business.
Our commitment is to deliver projects that are of high quality, timely and
Part 2 - Resource Management Resource Assignments Our resource assignments are achieved by the collaborative efforts of teamwork. We assigned 50 people to the project which is more than enough to help achieve our intended goals and the start and finish times of our scheduled project activities. The team avoided resource overload by setting up a project schedule that was realistic as part of effective project plan. Each team member was held accountable for tasks appropriately assigned; checking in to assure there were opportunities to share progress or ideas with the team.

A strategy describes how the ends will be achieved by the means . my team and i have to share information, pictures and videos to
The objective of the hazard identification is to identify the presence of potential hazards that are posed during operation of the plant, then suggest corresponding control measures to reduce risk or mitigate impacts on work force. Main hazards that we take into consideration are chemical hazards, electrical hazards, vibration and noise related hazards. 6.2.1 Chemical hazards The chemical hazards are those posed by chemical components and products used in the process. The main hazards associated with the process are that of natural gas or carbon dioxide leakage, high temperature and pressure steam, and potassium carbonate.
If duration of any phase exceeds six (6) months, indicate key interim milestone dates. For projects
the project, this will be include creating the interfaces, building the application logic, creating the database and integrating all the three tiers to meet the functional requirements laid out in the project specification. Testing phase – 1 week This stage involves unit and integration testing of all the modules implemented in the previous stage following the test plans laid out in design phase. Test results are to be created to demonstrate the effectiveness. Testing will focus on security, performance, usability and accessibility of the
As an employer you must comply with the Manual Handling and Operations Regulations (MHOR) to carry out a risk assessment on manual handling tasks. If you are an employee you must make full use of any safe system of manual handling the employer puts in place… Regulation 4(1) of MHOR sets out a hierarchy of measures to reduce the risks of manual handling: • Avoid hazardous manual handling operations so far as is reasonably
A risk assessment is where we look at all the risks and try to find a way of overcoming or try to reduce the risks, as well as looking at the risks that is involved with many of the activities that the residents are able to do, then what can be done and put in place then to reduce the risks so they can take part in the activity risk and harm reduced, because they always have the right to be included in activities that they want to participate in. Therefor if an individual wants to do something independently, for example, make themselves a cup of tea, then a risk assessment will need to be completed to minimize the risk of that individual burning themselves or other residents, such as cap the temperature of the hot water, instead of taking their independence away from them and for us to do it for
Your groups will be made up of three students each. Each of you has different strengths and talents you will bring to your group. For instance, Sally, John, and Micah will be in Group #1 and they will read a biography about Amelia Earhart. Micah is very good at organizing.
Of particular relevance is the need to assess whether products, processes, situations and activities could increase the risk of significant health consequences for human populations. The department of health in Western Australia has endorsed the use of health risk assessments of potential impacts to health during the planning stages of new developments and to evaluate activities where potential risks to health are being considered (Henrici, 2005). The processes outlined in this document provide a more specific characterization of potential risks to the public than currently available and being developed to assist proponents and others required to undertake formal impact assessments for new developments. These processes may also be useful for other forms of assessments where risks to the public are being considered. Users are also referred to the following publications when undertaking risk assessments for health: health risk assessment in Western Australia (department of health) environmental health risk assessment: guidelines for assessing human health risks from environmental hazards (ehealth council, department of health and aging).
This information proves that soapy water’s surface tension breaks faster, and causes the hydrogen molecules to break faster as well. Adding soap to water makes its surface tension decrease, so soapy water drops become weaker and break apart faster. This stops water molecules from adhering to each other, this lack of adhesion is what allows soap to clean dishes and clothes more easily. I believe that one error or variable that isn’t accounted for in this experiment is the lack of consistency in each droplet of water, some drops may be very large while other might be miniscule. This variable, while it doesn’t seem like a big ordeal, can deeply affect the outcome of this experiment.
This article will make an analysis of the Teradyne Corporation: Jaguar project and discuss the impact of the new tools to the project development and the key lessons that were learnt in the process. Challenges The application of the new management tools produced a myriad of challenges regarding the limitations of presented projects and with regard to determining the quality of the project delivered. For instance, the issue of the amount of additional time that was required to cover the unplanned but
