Three, two, one, time’s up! In the show Beat Bobby Flay, two cooks square off in cooking a dish with a chance to challenge Bobby Flay using any dish of their choice. From the episode, “A Cut Above,” John Tesar was able to beat his competition and challenge Bobby Flay in cooking Beef Wellington. The article “Food Safety Practices in Television Cooking Shows” discusses standard food practices and looks for them in these cooking shows. Not only have these cooking shows involving a timed meal brought entertainment, intensity, and frustration to television, the fast-paced action leads to chefs losing the proper hygiene and could lead to foodborne illnesses when preparing the food. As the audience of the show, the entertainment has led to these hygienic practices being lost behind the action.

It was a satisfying moment as a nursing student to not be afraid and know how to provide safe and preventative care to reduce the risks for falls, such as having my clinical instructor, a colleague and myself to help a client that has fragile bones and was confused because of their medical diagnosis. As well, we can provide proper prevention and infection control by applying correct hygiene care after assisting a client with an infection such as clostridium difficile. What did not go well after this experience is I found out that this client had clostridium difficile and at first, I was scared that now I am at risk and will acquire this infection. Instead, I looked at it as I am overcoming my fear of the different infections and diseases I will be exposed to as a nurse and that is why learning how to perform proper hygiene is very important. This bad thought turned into a learning curve and that nothing will make me not provide safe and effective care to any client. Also, I will continue to be aware of clients that are at a greater risk for falls and use my critical thinking to be there to provide
3.2 Outline the procedures to be followed if an accident or sudden illness should occur.
The brochure’s claim is a question, “What is the simplest way to protect yourself from colds?”, that then gets answered once the brochure is opened. It starts by presenting the reader with cold, hard facts, almost scaring the reader into washing their hands. Then it continues with more statistics on illnesses caused from improper hand washing, such as Hepatitis A, SARS, and the flu, and then proceeds to teach the reader on how to successfully wash ones
The primary prevention is the best way to eliminate the potential for exposure. Since hand washing is the most effective mean of spread of infection, it would be my primary goal to increase the compliance of hand hygiene among healthcare workers, but also an extensive education of patients and family members on hand washing before and after touching the patient as well as afar any contact with any potentially contaminated materials (surface, body fluids or respiratory secretions). Mandatory education of patients, visitors and healthcare workers, across the system as well as cross department compliance practices are single best mean of preventing the spread of infection. For example, every patient and family member can be educated about hand hygiene, use of PPE-personal protective equipment (face mask, gowns and gloves). Although, the practices are already being utilized, I believe the compliance is poorly monitored.
When my room is in good sanitary condition, my students spread less bacteria around the room. I keep the room sanitized and healthy by making sure i wash my hands as i enter the room, and all those entering the classroom. By washing our hands upon entering, we are lessening the probabilities of bringing outside germs into the classroom. We also make sure that when our friends sneeze, they get a tissue then immediately wash their hands to keep them crispy clean. Upon entering children wash their hands and before and after each meal. When the teachers or the adults in the classroom are preparing the meals, first thing we do is wash our hands and then put our gloves on; so that we can use them as a barrier between the food and germs.
Washing hands – All services should have policies and procedures implemented within their program to encourage good hygiene such as washing hands, educators should role model these practises and teach the children when it’s appropriate to wash their hands, such as after they have been to the toilet, before and after meal times, and if they are sick to prevent the spread of infection through droplets in the air. Also educators need to be washing their hands before and after administering medication and changing children’s nappies, wiping snotty noses, dealing with bodily fluids and also wearing gloves as a barrier to prevent infection spreading. Florence Nightingale has impacted my nursing practice. She came into a hospital setting that had low standards and the environment had caused more problems for the patients than the war. She made efforts to clean up the facilities. She kept records of the changes and was able to show that a more aseptic environment was crucial to the healing process. This is something that I use in my daily tasks as a nurse. I wash my hands regularly, keep my patient’s rooms clean and organized and make sure that my patients have baths daily to prevent infections.
Strep throat is a bacterial infection caused by Group A streptococcus bacteria. Although only 5 to 10 percent of sore throats are strep throat, up to 15 percent of doctor's visits for a sore throat are due to strep.

Healthy physical development usually progresses through crawling, walking and climbing skills that are essen-tial for children to develop mobility, coordination and balance. Ill health can delay these skills, impacting on children's ability to explore the world around them, wing affecting their cognitive and language development and their levels and rate of achievement.
