Fire destroys things down into ache, but after that is a process of rebuilding and starting of new things. This was happening to the neighborhood of Wicker Park in 1871 , when the fire destroyed old wooden mansions of rich German and Scandinavian residents. The new era had occurred, when the immigrant labors rebuilt the neighborhood with brick and stone to prevent such a tragedy again. Since then, that area has filled with beautiful architecture and packed with history. This area was recognize by the city of Chicago to be one of the historical area, and people call it the “Wicker Park Historic District.” Most of the famous houses are on two streets, North Hoyre Street and West Pierce Avenue. For North Hoyre Street, houses on this street used
I believe that I should be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, because of the qualifications I have in character, attitude, education and service to Cliffside Park Middle School and our community. Being inducted into the National Junior Honor Society will help me grow as a person and will provide me with new challenges and skills. I will learn to become more responsible, to have time management, and will have the opportunity to help those in need. My service to the Cliffside Park has helped me learn to help others and to give to others.

The performers are Greg Billings: Lead vocals, Tom King: Bass guitar, George Harris: Guitar and vocals, Rob Stoney: Keyboards, vocals and harmonica, Mark Busto: Drums and vocals. Kyle Ashley: Guitar. The band today includes Greg and Tom from the original band Stranger. Greg is a friend of mine as well as a colleague. He has since left the company to pursue music full time. I have seen Greg and Tom perform as Stranger and The Greg Billings Band. Greg is a very down to earth typical guy that anyone could associate with. Stranger released several albums as had some hits that established them as a “Florida Rock Band”. Greg has been performing since the early 1980s when Stranger began in 1981. Stranger was together for 16 years. Greg then was in another band Damn the Torpedoes for a few years which then led him to start The Greg Billings Band.

After three long years away from his family overseas, John White returned to the Roanoke colony only to discover a site that would raise questions for the next hundreds of years. Carved into a nearby tree of the Roanoke colony, the words “Croatoan” and “Cro” were the last shrew of evidence remaining of the Roanoke colony. The word “Croatoan” remains a mystery amongst scientists and archeologists today. The lost colony of Roanoke has developed many ideas and questions of the settlers’ location. Theories have developed over time but little facts are known about the disappearance of Roanoke’s settlers.
Bridgewater, Va. – The Treasury Department announced on Wednesday April 20th, abolitionist, and anti-slavery activist Harriet Tubman is to replace the 7th president of the United States, Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill. Struggles with family relations. Bullying. Inconformity. All of these are reasons that, at the early age of 16, Rod Dreher, the author of The Little Way of Ruthie Leming, left his home in St. Francisville to pursue his own aspirations, to escape his tormented childhood. However, years later, after having built up a life outside of Starhill, Rod moves back to his old hometown; this happens not because the town, the people, or the social order changed in any manor, but because Rod developed a new perspective on the entirety of that which was St. Francisville, Louisiana.

I am also interested knowing that having membership in NJHS will help my future career and bring a lasting impression to many people.
Valley forge was a winter camp for for soldiers to train. But the conditions at the camp were horrible with bad housing, food, weather, and clothing. Many quit due to those harsh conditions. If I were at Valley Forge I would have definitely quit. 50% of the soldier got diseases and 1,800 to 2,500 died. (Doc A) I honestly would wouldn’t want to be around dirty sick people all day. I also wouldn’t want to die because of all those poor conditions your put through. Many of the patriots clothing was ripped, torn, dirty, and they had no shoes. (Doc B) The time of year and place they were doing has very harsh winters so wouldn’t want to freezing outside all the time. I especially hate it when it's below at least 30 degrees out so I would of been
Valley Forge is a winter camp about 18 miles from Philadelphia. Many colonists are sick and dying since they have little food, and supplies left. On February 1st, 1778, death and illness took over our troops. (Doc A) About 50% of our soldiers are currently sick, and in horrible condition. And since we are close to the end of this winter, around 2,500 people have died. (Doc A) We also don’t have much supplies left. We are low on food, weapons, and having no food leads to death and horrible sickness. The vomit surrounds our camp, and the smoke pollutes our air. (Doc C) I want to live just like anyone here at this camp. The other day I was looking at a painting by William Henry Powell, and noticed that the British were not having a tough time
As Mckenna, Emily, and I arrived late at the Long Beach Board Meeting, I was instantly transported to my senior year of high school. As ASB Vice President, I attended the Alhambra Board Meetings, and just like with Long Beach, there’s always traffic in Southern California.

Over the years of 1933-1945 over a million people were killed due to the Holocaust and more than half of them were Jewish. This paper is divided into three major parts, the first one is events leading to the Wannsee
