In October of 2017 accusations of his sexual misconduct with women started flying around Hollywood. According to the Times, “Weinstein had made unwelcome advances on numerous women, including actress Ashley Judd, quietly reaching settlements with at least eight of them. The story gained steam with a subsequent report in The New Yorker, which offered an account of Weinstein 's predatory behavior from Italian actress Asia Argento.” All of a sudden women everywhere started disclosing what happened when they were alone with Mr. Weinstein, and he stopped defending himself against the women 's accusations. On October 8 Weinstein was fired from the company and remained a board member for a while before resigning. Quite a lot of men in Hollywood have gone through the same thing that Weinstein is going through, they get involved in a sex scandal and end up ruining their careers because of it. Weinstein lost his whole livelihood because he decided to take advantage of the immense power that he
The Illuminati is a organization of world leaders. May 1, 1776 the New World Order was formed. These women were regular citizens who were lawfully convicted for the crime they committed. The fact that they were not in high profile careers or had lots of money to hire the best lawyers money could buy, ensured they got processed by the court system in a normal everyday way. Ray Lewis was charged for a double murder and in the end was only charged with an obstruction of justice and got the punishment of 1 year of probation and a $250,000 fine from the NFL. According to the New York Post, his limo driver gave an eyewitness account, verifying that Lewis was in fact, a more than willing participant in the fight that ended the victim’s lives. His endless supply of funds made sure that his own private investigators beat the police to just about every witness; they all had
The films The Nine Lives of Marion Barry and Anita, contribute to history in allowing us to go back in the past to see how we as a society chose how to handle scandals, which creates certain expectation and set boundaries during the era in which they occurred. With this information, we can then redefine the differences between events in the past and compare them today. For example, Barry was elected into office countless times after countless drug scandals surfaced about his coke addition, yet Anita Hill’s reputation was destroyed after she accused Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment. Many would consider this to be great injustice, resulting in confusion. As a result, the media plays such an important role in helping us understand and in showing how some scandals are very specific to time, place, and culture which is why people react differently to them.
Notoriety a Modern Myth High profile court cases have been getting increasingly popular as time goes on. Court cases like the Casey Anthony and Scott Peterson trials are media dynamite. Although the media is legally allowed to be a part of these court proceedings, they still cause drama and stipulations that many feel would not be a factor if their presence were withdrawn. Notoriety, or being famous for bad deeds, is a characteristic engulfing many of Hollywood’s elite personnel; for this reason, many high profile cases have become even more of a media magnet. Many may believe that notoriety is a determining factor in high profile cases, but all legal proceedings are conducted in the same manner whether heavily documented in the
The HUAC became a permanent committee around 1945-1947. It was the first government committee to investigate the entertainment industry. Its actions helped set a precedent for future government investigations of the entertainment industry, creating a culture of fear and mistrust in Hollywood. This legacy can still be seen in the reluctance of some filmmakers to discuss politics or take a stand on controversial issues. In addition, the HUAC's long-lasting impact also includes its role in promoting anti-Communist sentiment in the United States and its effects on the careers of many actors and directors who were blacklisted due to their involvement with Pro-Russian

The strongest portrayal of Act 1.V is the Mel Gibson film because it uses movement to establish the power dynamic between Hamlet and his father and show how the ghost uses that power to manipulate Hamlet. King Hamlet switches between seated and standing. When seated, he is describing himself, choosing to appear weak and frail in order to elicit sympathy from his son. Movements during these parts of the scene are restricted to his arms, which reach out to Hamlet as a plea, indicating that there is a bond between the two of them just before he gets up and proceeds to manipulate that bond. Additionally, he lifts his arms above his head in a vulnerable position as he repeats “Oh horrible,” as if in a powerless state of grief and pain, to convince
