As humans, we have come a long way and we have overcome a lot of great difficulties. Be it war, disease, natural calamities, man-made disasters, you name it and we have crossed it. But over all these years, we seem to have missed the point that all the tragedies that we come to face with are making. It is us humans and the hate we broil so passionately within ourselves, that causes most of the destruction. All though the international community is doing its best to spread the message of love, it seems to be falling on deaf ears – rape, murders, racism, homophobia, war crimes are everyday events even today.
Age, disability, pay, genetic information, and harassment are all considered to be part of discrimination. The most common and known types include religion, race, and gender. There are many different ways that someone’s life can be impacted in an adverse way because of who they are, and who can be themselves in a world where they are constantly being treated differently? Millions of people, all different races and religions, have been judged based on skin color and what they believe in. Starting in Berlin, Germany,
If this war never happens, Nazi Germany and Italy could have easily taken over Europe with no one to step in and tell them to stop. Even though war cost many lives, we have stories like Anne Frank, and ruined the mental well-being of the soldiers fighting in it, what it did was larger than the conflict around it. People will say that the Holocaust was the worst event to happen in history and it stemmed from the war, but nothing like the Holocaust will ever happen again because we now know what the world will be like if and religious hatred grows into reality again. Conflict will help in the end result, you must look at the bigger picture and not be so narrow minded. Conflict will change relationships, but it will also bring out the best in
That massacre sparked the idea for tighter gun laws. These are the types of actions that we would see occur in the world if we chose to forget all the bad memories of society. Do you remember the atrocities of the first and second world war? What if you never learnt about these heinous acts of cruelty? We would continually see more large wars occurring because society would decide that the mistakes made in the past aren’t worth remembering.
We live in a globalized and integrated world in which people of all backgrounds, personalities, race and religions are harmonizing or should we say co existing as one society. Racial discrimination and segregation has been marking itself in our history The incidents marked in our history tell us more than enough that racial discrimination is not a joke but a problematic crisis in our lives like the examples of Nazi’s extermination of the Jews or the history of slavery and segregation of Jim Crow laws in the United States and Europe. Many people marched, fought and died to pursue freedom from racism, and living in the end result of those sacrifices, a lot of us believe that racism does not exists, that it is an issue of the past If that was
Racism Issue By: Mary Ong My issue is about racism and how it affects people. I have chosen racism for my issue because I always hear about people bullying others because of their different color or race, and I want that to STOP! Racism is important to me because people get hurt because of racism and in America some police get forced to kill those who are a different color, and there’s no reason why they would do that. I have researched about my three questions I asked about racism! I put all my information that I have researched about down below!
Racism is a huge problem in our societies currently. We see it everywhere from the news articles on our phones, news stories on our TVś or smart devices and we even see it in our own communities. Which brings me to my next point that although it is not the same ¨racism¨, that we have learned about in our history classes, it still exists because it has evolved and it will continue to to evolve and exist, unless we put an end to all racism. Racism is when someone is judging or putting someone else down who is a different race with the belief that their race is more superior over the others. Putting an end to all racism would not be something that happens by tomorrow or the next day, but with the right people in charge, the right ideas put into action and right attitude, it can happen a lot quicker than people think.
This country made it so that every human will have the rights of speech, press, and fair trial. However, invading human rights during peaceful protests and recent arising police bruit has been severely occurring. Over the years the government has been trying to come up with ways on how to reduce the amount of violation against human rights. Iraq- From the start, Iraq was a country labeled under the top 10 of “worst country for human rights.” Over the year of 2014, the ability to earn human rights was difficult as the situation turned out worse. The relationship better and the government and the citizens were not great.
It is no secret that racism is something abominable. It is a word coloured by the actions people executed under its name, such as the holocaust and apartheid. A dangerous word pointing at humanity’s flaws and disfigurement, associated with former mistakes made in history. However, even though the majority of the earth’s population agree that racju8ism has been a negative force in our world’s history, there are still people who hold onto its ideas - every day we hear about it on the news, we read about in articles and we see it happen right before our eyes. We need to discuss the effects racism has on our world, and acknowledge what a current and urgent issue it truly is.
Racism is one of the most important social issues in the world, it seems to be trending in social network more often, especially when they say blacks can be racists as well. It is true black people and minorities can be racists, however they cannot carry out acts of racism because they do not have the opportunities or resource to practice racism in the manner white Americans have in the past and present. The issue at hand is that blacks can be racists it has affected millions of people worldwide. Racism is the discrimination of other groups on the basis of their different descent begins in the modern period. The question is to as to why racism still exists worldwide today, though it has been existing for many years ago it increases daily on our lives
