One of the most tragic events in the whole play is the death of both Romeo and Juliet this happens because of Romeo’s mistakes. Romeo is informed that his wife, the love of his life has died so on impulse he decides to end his life to be with her, this is Romeo 's first mistake. After conflict with Paris, Romeo drinks the poison he has acquired, thus killing himself, if he had waited or even grieved her death then the play would 've ended differently. Juliet not really being dead awakes to find her husband the love of her life dead next to
Sinful Macduff,/They were all struck for thee! naught that I am,/Not for their own demerits, but for mine... (IV.iii.262-264). Additionally, the way that Macbeth speaks of Macduff when he is planning his family’s murder shows even more how undeserving Macduff is of this cruel and brutal sacrifice, “The castle of Macduff I will surprise:/Seize upon Fife; give to the edge o’ the sword/His wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls... (IV.i.165-167). Although both Macbeth and Macduff used their guilt as motivators to achieve their goals, Macduff was the only one who used it to do something right, which was to help his country.
Lastly, Tybalt is the most to blame for the events that occur in Romeo and Juliet because of the the first events he caused leading to the suicides of Romeo and Juliet. The confirmation that Tybalt is the cause of the terrible events in Romeo and Juliet is shown in the play “Romeo and Juliet” when Romeo says, “Is it even so? then I defy you, stars! Thou know ' st my lodging: get me ink and paper, and hire post-horses; I will hence tonight.”
In the middle of the play, Mercutio cursed both families, “ Or I shall faint. A plague o’ both your houses! / They have made worms’ meat of me. I have it” (3.1.113-114). This means that people start to die because of the Montague and the Capulets’ families.
The ghost also tells him that he fell asleep in the garden and Claudius poured poison in his ear to kill him. Hamlets fear about his uncle was true after all. “O my prophetic soul!” he cries (1.5.40). After finding out all this information, Hamlet was in a dark spot that lead him to acting insane to investigate the accusations that his father had made.
Tragedy is all around us in the world. The tragedy of Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet is that so many people receive fault for the death of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Lawrence is at fault because he tells Juliet to fake her death and he is unable to communicate this to Romeo. Fate is also to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
In William Shakespeare’s tragedy, “Romeo and Juliet”, Mercutio was murdered and cursed both the Montague and Capulet families in responsibility of his death. Both families played a major role in the cause of Mercutio’s death because of their refusal to push the generation old feud aside for the peace of the realm, they both allowed the hate to trickle down the ranks to the servants and townspeople, and by provoking arguments with each other, knowing the stakes are high and the tension is thick. Tybalt also played a significant role in the death of Mercutio, aside from being Mercutio’s actual murderer. The initial cause of the dispute is never actually addressed in the play, but it is clear that the hate brews on both sides.
Fate, above all, destroyed Romeo and Juliet. Several instances in the play reveal that the love of Romeo and Juliet would end in death. "A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life" (Prologue.6) destined for misfortune. It could be that Romeo and Juliet were destined for death so that their families’ feud would be over. Also, in the prologue, it states that their love was "The fearful passage of their death" (Prologue.9).
The friar knows that the marriage will end in tragedy, but he marries them anyway, causing everything that happens later down the line to happen and leads to the death of these two young characters. The friar is a huge reason the whole set of problems happened, from marrying them, to setting up a weak plan and not having another incase the plan fails leading to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. The deaths of Romeo and Juliet are the most iconic in the entire play, and the reasons these two lovers did kill themselves wasn’t just on one person. It was number of reasons, caused mostly by the three, Romeo, Lord Capulet, and the Friar Lawrence.
That causes Romeo and Juliet to take their own life at the end. Romeo is a Montague while Juliet is a Capulet, the Montague and the Capulets hate each other. In this play there are multiple deaths, like Tybalt dying from Romeo, who was avenging Mercutio 's death from Tybalt. All that fighting causes Romeo to be banished. After all that, Romeo allegedly hears of Juliet 's “death” so he goes back to Verona and kills himself next to Juliet.
The reason she had a very big impact on this tragedy, is because she went to the Friar and got a sleeping drug. It made everyone think she was dead. It especially made Romeo very sad, he thought about killing his self. The next character in the book “Romeo and Juliet” that also had a very devastating impact on the tragedy was Romeo.
Later in the tragedy, Romeo sees Juliet dead in the mausoleum, and decides to express his love for her, then drink the poison. Once Juliet awakes from her deep sleep and sees Romeo dead, she takes her own life with a dagger. Both Juliet and Romeo’s tragic downfall could have been avoided if Romeo thought about the consequences before he murdered Tybalt. Romeo’s rash behaviors in Romeo and Juliet resulted in many negative consequences, and he consistently acted impetuously that impacted others in an unnecessary way. The actions he committed to were ideally the cause of the death for three major characters .
your houses!” (3.1.140-144). Tybalt had struck Mercutio enough to eventually kill him, so Mercutio exited to his grave, cursing the Capulets and the
Romeo 's personality of peace, loving, yet vengeful caused his own doom once he was exiled for killing Tybalt who killed Mercutio. Thus 'evidently causing pain for Juliet who lost both her lover and cousin. Juliet 's father arranging Juliet 's marriage to Paris made her mourning worse, already being married to Romeo yet being separated made her to reason with Friar Laurence. The plan that was supposed to reunite both Lovers indefinetly brought upon their own doom. Juliet herself drank the sleeping potion when Romeo was on his way earlier than anticipated, whom bought poison upon hearing of her "death" , planning to kill himslef on her tomb alongside her.
Famously known as the star-crossed lovers from rival households, Romeo and Juliet depicts William Shakespeare’s definition of a tragedy a play ending with the protagonists’ death. However, they are also notable for their impulsive decisions which eventually leading to their suicide. For example, Romeo falling in love with Juliet within minutes of seeing her at the Capulet’s party, “For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night.” (I, v, 51) as he was heartbroken over Rosaline earlier that day. Yet, Romeo and Juliet are not to blame for their downfall.
