Who is really responsible for the seasonal air pollution, also known as haze in Malaysia? Haze can occur anytime, anywhere around the world, whether in the warm weathered countries like ours, Malaysia or even the coldest locations in the world, the Arctic. Haze are one of the rising issues of the world, especially for the typical countries that face it yearly, the Southeast Asia. This region includes our country Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei and a few more countries nearby. All we know is that haze is a very foggy smoke with very bad consequences for our health. But do we really know the true haze? What is haze? Haze do appear at times but do we know why? Haze is an atmospheric phenomenon where dust, smoke and other dry particles obscure the clarity of the sky. If you are living in large urban areas, you would eventually notice dusty-looking clouds blocking your clear view of the city skyline at times whenever the haze season comes. Haze is categorized as air pollution all over the globe. Haze appears when weather conditions remain stagnant for a considerable duration. The length of time enables the dust, smoke and other pollutants to loiter between the ground and sky, combined together. In instance, most haze occurs because of the weather. Haze occur in our region because of slash and burn going on in Indonesia. The slash and burn produce more dust, more smoke and even heat which makes it much worse for us than other countries. Our country is the worst one yet to be affected. Haze in no longer a domestic problem for countries but one of the reasons of international disputes among neighbouring countries as in ours and Indonesia.
