Who is really responsible for the seasonal air pollution, also known as haze in Malaysia? Haze can occur anytime, anywhere around the world, whether in the warm weathered countries like ours, Malaysia or even the coldest locations in the world, the Arctic. Haze are one of the rising issues of the world, especially for the typical countries that face it yearly, the Southeast Asia. This region includes our country Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei and a few more countries nearby. All we know is that haze is a very foggy smoke with very bad consequences for our health. But do we really know the true haze? What is haze? Haze do appear at times but do we know why? Haze is an atmospheric phenomenon where dust, smoke and other dry particles obscure the clarity of the sky. If you are living in large urban areas, you would eventually notice dusty-looking clouds blocking your clear view of the city skyline at times whenever the haze season comes. Haze is categorized as air pollution all over the globe. Haze appears when weather conditions remain stagnant for a considerable duration. The length of time enables the dust, smoke and other pollutants to loiter between the ground and sky, combined together. In instance, most haze occurs because of the weather. Haze is also caused when sunlight encounters the tiny particles in the air and is absorbed by the particles which prevents us from having a …show more content…
Haze occur in our region because of slash and burn going on in Indonesia. The slash and burn produce more dust, more smoke and even heat which makes it much worse for us than other countries. Our country is the worst one yet to be affected. Haze in no longer a domestic problem for countries but one of the reasons of international disputes among neighbouring countries as in ours and Indonesia. This is because haze caused by slash and burn migrates to adjacent countries deteriorating other countries as
Night and Fog is a documentary that alternates between past and present and features both black- and-white and color footage. The film draws on several sources, including black-and-white still images from various archives, excerpts from older black-and-white films from French, Soviet, and Polish newsreels, footage shot by detainees of the Westerbork internment camp in the Netherlands, or by the Allies' "clean-up" operations, plus new color and black-and-white footage filmed at concentration camps in 1955. Resnais filmed his color sequences in Eastmancolor rather than Agfacolor, using the footage to contrast the desolate tranquility of several concentration camps—Auschwitz, Birkenau, Majdanek, Struthof, and Mathausen—with the horrific events that occurred there
One of the biggest environmental issue that this state face is smog. The term smog comes from the combination of the words: smoke and fog. The dictionary defines it as a form of air pollution produced by the reaction of sunlight with hydrocarbons, nitrogen
Health care disparity according to U.S National Library of Medicine (2017) “typically refers to differences between groups in health insurance coverage, access to and use of care, and quality of care”. The purpose of this research was to identify the different factors that prevent San Bernardino County residents from accessing quality healthcare and identify specific groups affected. Our research has concluded , social economics status, gender, race and ethnicity to be major factors in San Bernardino County that have created these healthcare disparities. According to the Kaiser Permanente Community Health Needs Assessment San Bernardino County (CHNA 2013 ) the impact of economic instability, unemployment, homelessness and transportation,
The cloud appeared in November and kept almost everyone inside for it was “eye-stinging and throat-burning.” The smog is so thick it is is being blamed for a 70 car accident near the city. The city which has a population of 19 million as of 2012 is a hub for pollution with factories, cars, and other normal air polluters. The amount of pollution is so surprising that the levels of PM 2.5 (fine particles in the air) soared to 16 times the safe limit. Since the cloud appeared in the winter it is even worse of a time, for the winter is the worst season for pollution since the poor burn trash, and the electricity plants ramp up production to keep up with the heating.
Air pollution pervasively impacts humanity as a global society. It results in minimized quality of life and initiates instability within the environment . Air pollution causes extensive detrimental health effects on the residents of Southern California, especially on select sensitive individuals, and has significant adverse impacts on the environment of Southern California. The health of individuals residing within the boundaries of Southern California is steadily tarnished by the destructive qualities of polluted air. The effects of air pollution on the human body over a relatively minimal amount of time are unlikely to have major effects on youthful and healthful individuals.
Artificial lights have helped illuminate homes, yards, shops, etc. for years. Though the use of it is very beneficial to everyday life, if not taken into consideration light pollution can come into play and be wasted. Light pollution is caused when artificial light is released into areas that have no use for artificial light. One of the negative effects that light pollution has on the earth is that it’s throwing the earth's ecosystem out of whack. When you're in the city at night and you look up at the sky to see stars shining down you’ll probably be disappointed.
There’s a vast amount of issues going on in the state of Texas and no one seems to make an innovation. One of the biggest issue in the state of Texas is pollution in our cities. Based on my outside knowledge, no person seems to bother to make a change in our ecosystem. People seem to care less on how our environment’s health is and focus more in themselves, which is causing a more serious problem. Maybe not in that same time, but thorough the years, it’ll not just cause an issue in our environment, but also among ourselves.
The burning of fossil fuels cause industrial fog and grey air smog. The unburned remains are released as soot or particles of carbon which contains varying amounts of contaminants, including mercury and sulfur. This implements that natural gases have ways of polluting the
Some cities in china have everyone wear gas masks when they go outside. That 's just tragic! Can you imagine getting lung cancer for standing outside for 10 minutes? Cars can release 2 different kinds of pollution. There is primary pollution that goes straight into the air to pollute it and secondary pollution.
1. Introduction Air pollutin is a public health concern and it has been since the discovery of fire. Incidents and episodes of air pollution have been recorded throughout the history. Air pollution is divided into two, it is the indoor air pollution and the outdoor air pollution. Indoor air pollution is produced in households or at offices by pollutants such as tobacco smoke, household products or pesticides.

Buying the alcohol and keep drinking and getting drunk was part of buying his own death. At the same time, alcohol was a symbolism of his death. When the Swede was at the bar, he was forcing the people there to drink to celebrate his winning against Johnnie but the gambler did not like his attitude and killed him with the knife. In addition, at the end of the passage Crane used the phrase “…into this fog of mysterious theory”. Fog is a thick cloud, which confounds us and causes us to lose our sense of direction and confuses us.
When a volcano erupts, it sends toxic gas into our atmosphere causing air pollution, meaning that pollution has always existed on Earth. But, the cause of pollution becoming the number 1 cause of death is not because of natural disasters. It’s because of us, humans. Every day activities
Particulate matter is a complex combination of fine solid particles and liquid droplets comprising various types of dust, smoke, and soot, gaseous and biological contaminants that are suspended in air. The size of these particles ranges from few nanometers to around 100 micrometers. Mainly, coarser particulate matter PM10 with diameter less than equal to10 micrometers and fine particulate matter PM2.5 with diameters less than equal to 2.5 micrometers are significant. Particulate matter in air comes from both natural sources such as wildfires and dust storms and anthropogenic sources like power and industrial plants, fossil fuel burning, combustion of wood and other biomass fuels and automobiles. In Urban areas, vehicular traffic is one of the major sources of particulate matter pollution.
Focusing on reducing air pollutants in the Earth’s atmosphere, it creates an environmentally healthy place to live in and encourage people to work together for a common cause, thus making the world a better place. In order to solve such a problem, a strong understanding is needed. Air pollution is one of the various forms of pollution. It is the presence of foreign toxic substances or pollutants into the air.
