As a health care practitioner I would first recognize the patient's concern and try to assure them that we will do everything in our power to help them. Secondly, I would gather information from the patient such as their symptoms, and order and run tests. Thirdly, I would evaluate results from the patients tests and symptoms and determine the diagnosis. Fourthly, I would consider any implications that may result from the patient not understanding the results and perhaps find any better alternatives in assisting the patient. Finally, I would choose the best way to convince the patient to take the proper steps for their health and educate them on their test results and possible
4.6- It is accepted that practitioners in health and social care settings can be affected by the stressful nature of the work. (Godden 2012) When discussing challenging situations with supervisees we need to ensure they feel supported and have received the necessary training such as DMI and have completed their induction. Ensure they understand they have to adhere to the behaviour management programs and relevant risk assessments. If a specific incident has occurred reflect with them the effects of events and consequences and actions that occurred, using the records of incidents, A B Cs and tick charts for reference if needed. Argumentative Case With the upcoming election health care seems to be in talks again, just like with every election year, left sided candidates tend to lean towards a more equalized single paying system, where as the right wing candidates like to keep “America great” with it’s current marketplace system allowing more choice for Americans. Some might argue that a health care system for all would be costlier on tax payers; however, many studies show that a two-tier system would save American’s costs in a lot of ways. This argument will begin with the harm the current system
I am able to offer patients information, resources, and helpful advice based on my experiences and the experiences of others in order to assist them in making well-informed healthcare decisions. I inform them of their condition, available options for treatment, and available support services so they are empowered to take an active role in their own care and recovery. I contribute to their overall understanding and give them the resources they need to advocate for themselves by supplying them with this peer-based knowledge. As a peer advocate, I also help to open up channels of communication between patients and medical staff. In order to make sure that their voices are heard and respected, I assist patients in expressing their worries, inquiries, and preferences.
