Whether you ride on the road, the trail, the park or the street a helmet is now a necessity. There isn’t a faction of cycling which still thinks that helmets aren’t cool. So worrying about what you look like just isn't an excuse anymore. Everyone where’s a helmet. Specialized helmets range in both price and use, that’s to say that if you’re on a BMX, a commuter bike, a downhill bike a carbon road bike or a trail bike, we’ve got something for your head. What’s more all Specialized helmets are Snell approved, that’s an independent testing agency whose safety standards are higher than that of the EU standards.
Commuter
Of course almost any helmet that Specialized sell will be suitable for commuting, but there are specialist helmets designed to make your commute that bit safer. The Centro LED is one such helmet. It has a built in LED for added safety. The colours are either black or hi-viz yellow. The clip-on visor will help with the early morning winter sun and the venting will help you to arrive at work more refreshed. At £50 it comes in at a good price too.

Starting off with value, the Echelon is a great helmet at £50 and comes in stealthy black, hi-viz yellow and other on-trend bright colours too. The Propero 2 helmet is next up the pecking order at just £5 more than the Echelon. It resembles the top-of-the-line S-Works prevail so you can look “factory” like the pros. With 6 colours to chose from including matte black, white and hi-vis yellow. The S3 helmet comes in at £100, and loses weight, but gains airflow. The Prevail and the Prevail team are the helmets worn by the pros and features the least weight and most airflow of the lot. For times when aero is more important than anything there’s the S-Works
Do you own a vehicle with a crack in the windshield? Are you tired of the damage, but you don't think you can afford to have your windshield replaced? If you don't have the money to cover the cost of the windshield replacement and you don't want to make your insurance rate go up by filing a claim, you may think that you're stuck with a broken windshield. If you live in an area where you can be ticketed for having a damaged windshield, this may be even more worrying for you. Fortunately, replacement may not be your only option.
The documentary Head Games directed by Steve James follows former football player and ex-wrestler, Chris Nowinski, on his mission to uncover the truth about the consequences of playing sports related to concussions. A concussion is a brain injury that you cannot see and where the brain moves around in the skull. More than 3.8 million concussions occur a year due to a sport. The documentary raises the question of whether protective head-gear should be worn in all contact sports. I believe a head is more likely to sustain more damage to the brain without a helmet than a head with a helmet.
One major issue with one of America’s favorite sports, football, is the head injuries that go untreated. With concussions the only person who can tell if they are injured is the player until now, the invention of the Mamori Mouthguard will revolutionize concussion prevention and treatment. The Mamori Mouthguard works through a combination of an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a magnetometer. With these sensors the mouth guard can determine the amount of force the player was hit by. The mouth guard can then relay the message to a computer through a Mamori app.
A couple of years later helmets were starting to develop and safer and better. In the modern world helmets has establish more of harding shell in the inside instead of the outside, but players are still suffering from depressions and dying on the fields. Skull fractures and broken noses losing teeth have to really change since the
The Impact of Concussions During Football Concussions have become a major problem in athletics throughout the entire world. Head injuries can impact many athletes lives in a negative way. Hard contact to the head of a player can damage the brain and the way he goes about life. The way football is played, equipment should be better equipped to prevent significant injuries such as concussions. Head injuries drive a player out of the sport earlier than normal, so the NFL has looked into the issue and has gone about bettering technology and equipment to prevent concussions in the future.
In 1997, author Bill Plaschke stated That, “Dan Kult, director of technology at Riddell Inc., which makes the official NFL helmet. ‘But what we don't truly understand is how concussions occur.’” Today we know what concussions are. Now we need to create a better helmet that can lower the chances of concussions. Another idea could be adding a microchip to evaluate stress on players and if the impacts are too high the players should be checked by professionals (Starr).
Topic: Why schools should spend more money on equipment to protect athletes from concussions and other injuries. In today’s society sports rule the lives of kids of all ages. Football, being one of the most popular, is on the decline because of the recent studies of NFL players having CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) causing early death and brain/memory problems. WIth these studies parents are starting to pull their children from playing football at a young age to try and reduce the risk of head injuries in general.
Concussion “Smack”! “Bam”! That 's the sound of two helmets colliding. This can result in serious head trauma and concussions. I believe that concussions are being continuously being prevented in sports like football and that the argument of concussions not being prevented well is not completely true.
Kollide, Impressio, and Xenith were awarded grants for their helmets which combined with the mix of comfort and the use of
Rodeo is one of the oldest sports to exist in the United States; with the first rodeo being held in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1872. Baseball is the only sport older than it. Today, many people and organizations are trying to shut down rodeo because they claim it is cruel to animals. The sport of rodeo is not cruel to animals through the care and treatment of the livestock and performance horses.
Safety of Skiers and Snowboarders Ski helmets are definitely better to be worn than not to be worn or to say it's better to safe rather than sorry. Helmets have saved lives of bicyclists, skateboarders, skaters and others because they are required to be worn. People who have gotten in accidents while wearing helmets were most likely very thankful that they were wearing a helmet. Although these type of accidents do not necessarily happen to you, they do happen on a daily basis and come very unexpectedly, even on the slopes. I believe that there should be law that requires people to wear helmets when snow-skiing and snowboarding, no matter the age, because it is for their safety and to avoid extreme consequences if not worn.
To support this, “No amount of protection can stop the sudden acceleration and deceleration of the head that comes with blocking and attacking, which can cause the brain to slosh around inside the skull like yolk inside a vigorously shaken eggshell.” (Source #2). The evidence proves that no amount of protection can stop the head. Moreover, “No helmet can protect concussions entirely, says Rowson.” Source #1).
Every winter sport has a big risk of hurting your head. “Helmets reduce the incidence of any head injury by 30-50%” according to Jasper Shealy, professor emeritus at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. When you are on the mountain, you reach higher altitudes. The UV rays are much more harmful then if you were at the base. So when the sun reflects off the snow into your eyes, that 'll hurt.

Hello, It is quite comical how we have gotten to the point of which we are now censoring what we can and cannot wear. It is extremely ludacris. The reason I find it both comical and ludacris is because freedom of expression is a human right. The reason I wear the hat is that I am in support of a Conservative President. I support his Pro-Life stance, his call to a return of Traditional values, his defense of the West, his speech on why we must protect Western Values and our Judeo-Christian heritage, his Muslim ban and his support for Israel.
