Apollo was known as the god that made mortals aware of their own guilt and purified them of it. Apollo stated that once all twelve of these labors were complete that he would be purified from his guilt and achieve immortality. These tasks included killing the Nemean Lion, that was terrorizing people of the region, slaying the nine-headed Lernaean Hydra in the underworld, capturing the sacred pet of the goddess Diana, trapping the horrifying man-eating Erymanthean boar, cleaning all the manure out of King Augeas’ gigantic stables in a single day, driving away the Stymphlaian birds in Stymphalos, obtaining The Cretan Bull in the city of Crete, acquiring the Horses of Diomedes, four man-eating horses, stealing the armored belt the belonged to the Amazon queen Hippolyte. According to the myth, Hera appeared as an old crone (or as a nurse), and approached Semele. Semele not knowing that she was the goddess Hera told her that father of the baby was the god Zeus. Goddess Hera pretended not to believe her, and planted seeds of doubt in Semele's mind.
When Hera found out, she disguised herself as the Semele's nurse and convinced her to have Zeus show himself to her in his true form. So when Zeus showed up with his loud thunder and bright lightning, he ended up killing her by the power of those forces. He was able to save her aborted baby, their son, Dionysus. Mythology is a collection of myths and stories belonging to a particular belief system or cultural tradition. Even though there are a variety of different myths taught around the world, Greek mythologies are more famously known for their fruitful stories and complex relationships. Greek mythologies mostly concern their gods and heroes such as; Hercules, Achilles, Theseus, and Perseus. Of the many Greek heroes, Jason is the most heroic due to the fact that although he is abandoned at a very young age, he is still able to survive, also he proves to Hera the goddess who hated heroes that he is worthy to be favoured by her, and he completes the impossible quest of the Golden Fleece. Jason is born in a very superior family, having a father who is the lawful king of Iolcus.
The demigod son of Zeus himself, Herakles would have to endure and complete eight labors to atone for killing his wife and children. Much did Heracles suffer during this time, killing his own wife and children after being driven mad by Zeus’s wife Hera out of spite. Herakles story is relatable to the struggles of man, more so the other Gods in the sense that Pathos is personified throughout his story. Even at the bitter end, Herakles is betrayed through trickery that ends with his demise. It was unlike any of the ancient civilizations to portray a God as having human or mortal essence.
Zeus seduced Alemene when he turned himself into her husband. Their affair caused Hera to hate Hercules and want him destroyed. Hercules is the only man that had a mortal woman for a mother that became a god after her death. Hercules was extremely strong, but he had limited intelligence and wisdom.

He was the first human to kill the Minotaur and make it out of the labyrinth alive. Hercules was from Greece; however, Theseus was from Athens. Theseus always wanted to be the hero like Hercules. His mental state was in the correct place, but his physical state was not as strong as Hercules. It is constantly mentioned how unintelligent Hercules is.
Theseus’ first obstacle required him to muster all his strength in order to lift the rock to retrieve the sword and sandals left there for him. After acquiring the tokens which were rightfully his as the son of the King Aegeus, he set off to Athens. While traveling by sea was the much safer way to Athens, Theseus insisted on traveling by land, as he wished to complete six good deeds to demonstrate his strength. First, he killed Periphetes, who would bash passersby with his iron club. Next, he killed Sinis, a giant, who would trick travelers into an untimely death.
This is very different to the myth. In the myth, Hera it the one who sent the snakes down to kill Hercules, not Hades. She absolutely loathes him. She is so upset about her husband’s infidelity, she tries to get a baby killed. The change in the movie can be attributed to the common moral of monogamy.
But he forces those men to return to their ships so they could travel home. This shows his loyalty to his crew. He is loyal to Elphenor when he see’s him with Hades and buried his body.
The beast was a cyclops picking up houses (Does The Underworld have houses for the dead? Oh well, It's in the myth.” and eating dead people so they will forever live in the beast's stomach. Hades was not gonna have that. (Warning: This part of the myth is gonna get REALLY BUSy.
After eventually overpowering Cerberus, Heracles brought him to Eurystheus thus completing his twelve labours.
