There I learned the basics of handling a horse, cleaning, grooming and tacking. Near the end of my stay I had recieved a horse from the man I was volunteering for. We were locked right in front of the swimming hole. There we did daily pony rides, held birthday parties and even put on horse trick shows for the public. I had also met some of my best friends there. Looking back on the experience that I gained, I am grateful for everyone that gave me advice. Now, I am able to expand on the knowledge that I received a few years ago.

When this summer is done, I might go back and volunteer at the shelter during my time here at Western. The total experience (or what is so far) was not bad, yet the only thing I did not like from volunteering was the smell of cat urine seeping into my clothes, but petting the cats was fun. I only say maybe because I do not know what my future schedule looks like, but if I ever had the time then I will try. I am not making any promises nor any guarantees. There are other great options and opportunities to volunteer at other local organizations too, so I do not have to limit myself to only
Seeing the youth benefit from this organization makes all of the work worth it. Since 1932, this organization has provided more than $450 million for the kids in Texas and this is a major reason the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is so
So, instead of wasting the money the horse has earned the cheapest way is to send them off to wherever they want. Which, is not a nice home, it is a death home. Living as an animal in the racing industry is difficult exhausting. The life of a racehorse is not sunshine and rainbows.
There I explored all of the different STEM fields. From the experience I have developed a love for biology and learning how small things affect larger things in the world around me. The next summer I participated in the Summer Science Research

Central Idea (Proposition): By adopting pets from the American Humane Society or other rescue shelters, we can reduce the amount of stray animals on the streets.
For my family crest project, I chose numerous symbols that relate to my family and me. The first thing that I chose were the colors blue and yellow to paint my cross in that divides my shield. Blue means truth and yellow means generosity, which I feel says a lot about my family. Next, I did a mermaid, which is on my original crest, and means eloquence.
What was important to me back then but isn't important to me anymore ? The thing that used to be important to me was, ponies. Surprisingly, when I turned nine I was petrified of physically horseback riding. Therefore, what if the thing you were most passionate about was your biggest problem?
