My high school’s mission of promoting “leadership for the public good” has become incredibly important to me, and I aim to follow this model as I continue to learn and grow in college and beyond. I firmly believe in approaching education as a means of improving oneself for the sake of enhancing a broader community, and I am confident that Northwestern is the perfect setting for me to do so.
I hope to pursue a study in communications, where I can explore human interaction in an era when developments in technology, government, and economies are rapid and constant. I have a passion for learning about people: how they think, how they have evolved, how they interact, and why they behave the way they do. To understand communication in all its forms,

Collins Elementary is a branch of Alief Independent School District. I have been to many Alief schools and observed a very common pattern in all the schools in the district. They fallow the same requirements and have the same curriculum. I did notice that Collins elementary have a few assests that are unique to this school.
“In addition to organizational structure, the people within an organization determine how the organization functions. The values and perspectives of these individuals can influence how programs are implemented, how the organization obtains money and other resources, who is hired by the organization, and what services the organization provides,” (Hardina, Middleton, Montana & Simpson, 2007 pg. 29). The following will analyze the Saginaw Intermediate School District (Saginaw ISD) and their ability to meet the needs of those people it serves as well as those individuals they employ. Stakeholder Groups Recruiting and retaining active stakeholders increases, “Greater community support and buy-in, varied perspectives, a better understanding of the community context and an overall, more effective effort,” (Morgan, Stakeholders and Collaborators, 2018).

Over the summer school officials met to review the mission statement of previous years and decided it was time for a change. Our previous mission statement was "The Mission of Charlotte Valley Central School District is to create a learning environment that challenges and motivates each student to become a self-sufficient, cooperative, responsible and attributing member of a global society while encouraging each to achieve his or her highest potential. " This was felt to be too long, busy, too much and not direct enough. So the officials worked together to create a new statement around the six core beliefs. Students first, trust, ownership, communication, collaboration, and growth mindset.

Over the course of my life I have encountered adults heading out to work every morning, dressed in business attire with coffee in their hands. It reminds me of the movies that take place in the big cities like New York. I have been to New York and Chicago and I always notice citizens in the buildings dressed up in business clothes. I have always thought of pursuing a career in the business field. I believe it would fit my personality tremendously.
Mission Statement This year I will strive for balance. I will work hard to obtain 7 distinctions as well as spend time with family and friends. I will channel positivity into everything I do and take on each obstacle with an open-mind. Stay determined.
Teaching at Buckeye Elementary Developmental Preschool has had a forever and profound impact on my teaching career. While teaching for 3 ½ years there, I had the opportunity to learn new skills and strategies that have not only helped me in the classroom, but also outside of the school, as a parent. As a developmental preschool teacher, I learned new concepts, such as learning how to plan, write, create, prepare, and teaching students with Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s). Learning how to create an IEP took a lot of time to master, but once I learned the frame work, I was so glad that I had. The background knowledge, that I had learned was very helpful when it came time to become an advocate for my own child.
Almost there. Almost to high school. This year so far has been a whole mix of emotions. I'm happy that schools almost over. I'm sad that I'm leaving most of my friends.
I feel ASD’s mission and values are apt for students of today’s world. Teachers should help children learn to their best of their ability but also be flexible as no one knows what the future holds (Excellence). There is so much happening every moment. In today’s world, where a child’s innocence is so easily corrupted, I hope students can grow to become flowers among weeds, to use their own judgment and sense of self to know right from wrong and to do what is best for their future (Integrity & Respect). They should grow up having a feeling of worthiness and belongingness as an independent individual (Compassion).

Yale is committed to improving the world … who serve all sectors of society. It was two years ago that I came across this mission statement. Strangely, it sounded familiar, and then I realized this was what my parents always taught me – to serve others. This prompted me to research about Yale, leading me to find out a major called Global Affairs.
