Did you know that people without a high school diploma only get paid an average of 19,540 dollars a year? Should students stay in school until they’re 18? People without a high school diploma have a lower income. Students who drop out of high school early have a more likelihood of becoming in jail. Some say students should help their families, but when those people grow up, you will be in the same situation. Students should stay in school until the age of 18. One reason people should stay in school until they’re 18 is because people will get a higher income. As said by Missy Remiss on the WSCH radio,”Those without a high school diploma have lower earnings.” This means that people won’t get as much money as if they finished high school, or went through college. Students that drop out of high school will not be educated about the dangers of crime in the world and will not follow the law. According to the Radio Talk, it says, “they even have a higher likelihood of ending up in jail or on public assistance”. Missy also said, “So, it really is a bad deal for kids.” In the end, this is another reason students should not drop out of high school. Some people drop out of high school because they want to help their families, but when those people grow up and try to get a better job, they will get rejected. This is because it is required to have a high school diploma or a college degree to get certain jobs.
