Highly skilled teachers are important with helping to improve student achievement. Studies have shown that it can take four years for a student to recover from an ineffective teacher they were in class with for one year. Sometimes this student may never recover even if they were placed with a high skilled teacher. With good teaching every student in the class can benefit from the skills and techniques that are provided for enrichment. Negative behavior can shift the class and the teacher’s mood if it is addressed now. Research suggest that for every negative comment eight positive comments should come with it. With this rule in mind students can remember a teacher being more positive than negative. This will improve the classroom climate and rate of learning.
Separation of students in the classroom could cause stress in the classroom. Teachers should create seating charts equally. Groups of friends should never be allowed to sit together. That should also go for students who many may feel like are the smartest ones in the classes or groups many feel like are the popular ones at school.
