Clark Atlanta University was the platform in which the Democratic presidential candidate, Hilary Clinton was heckled by protestors; Friday, October 30, 2015. The group of approximately 10 protestors from the Black Lives Matter movement, chanted their frustrations with the current racial disparities experienced by several African-Americans. Hilary acknowledged the group by stating, “I 'm sorry they didn 't listen, because some of what they demanded I am offering and intend to fight for as president.” (“Black Lives Matter activists interrupt Hillary Clinton”). The protestors continued, overbearing Clinton’s address, until audience members began to chime in. Hilary addressed how she planned to implement policies to expand economic opportunities and mend the criminal justice system, the premise of The Black Lives Matter movement. As Clinton aims to mend the racial incongruities many blacks experience, she faces criticism as many believe her efforts are minor in regard to legislation and economic advancement.

Several presidential elections have demonstrated the fact that Southern states are primarily dominated by Republicans. To counteract this effect in the Democratic primary, Hillary placed emphasis on Southern states, realizing she needs the vote of these states to become the President of the United States. One can conclude that Clinton’s political agenda is to mainly gain the vote of the southern states. There have been numerous actions that suggest that racial inequality might still be intact with America’s modern society, such as the extreme violence shown by the police that has been roaming all over social media recently. This has eventually led to the creation of the controversial “Black lives matter” group. “Black lives matter” is an organization is an international activist campaign that disapproves of violence towards the African -American community.

The point that the author trying to persuade is to change the way we perceived Dolezal as a person. Perhaps, consider what she has done and will be doing to assist the black community in the future. Jabbar supports how Dolezal is the “chairwoman of a police oversight committee monitoring fairness in police activities”, meanwhile, black people will have a better chance off mistreatment toward their race.
