Hindustan Unilever Ltd. is an Indian Consumer goods company with base of operations in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is owned by Anglo-Dutch giant Unilever which has a stake of about 51.51% in HUL and is the controlling company of HUL. HUL manufactures foods, beverages, cleaning agents, water purifiers and personal care products.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd. came to existence as a result of the merger between Lever Brothers, Hindustan Vanaspati Mfg. Co. Ltd. and United Traders Ltd in 1956. It is constantly ranked as one of the most trusted Brands of India.
The following summarizes the Management Discussion and Analysis for the Financial Year 2014-2015 of Hindustan Unilever Ltd.
ECONOMY AND MARKETS
In Indian market, there was a muted growth observed for a second successive year. The year saw contracted industrial activity and steep currency depreciation and weakened consumption demand.
Because of sluggish economic growth and heightened inflation, market growth across FMCG sector was fluctuating. Premium segment was particularly under pressure. Overall, the operating context was challenging and due to market slowdown, the growth was not observable.
PERFORMANCE OF BUSINESSES AND CATEGORIES
• Home & Personal Care (HPC)- During the year, the HPC business registered robust growth ahead of market. The opportunity for growth in India continues to be immense across all HPC categories.

However, we want to hold the patient while we make the application to the SA, too. We’d be fine with a timeframe for the hospital to make the application. 36-521.02.D – We have two comments here. 1) As drafted, the subsection says that if a Certificate of Hold is issued by the SA then a hospital can hold a patient for 9 hours, once medically cleared, while waiting for transport to the SA.

Coles Supermarket Australia Pty Ltd is an Australian supermarket, owned by Wesfarmers. It is commonly known as Coles and was founded on 9th April 1914 in Smith St, Collingwood, Victoria. Till now, Coles has operated over 700 stores throughout Australia and employs over 100,000 employees. It controls 35% of Australian supermarket industry. Coles was founded when George James Coles opened the Coles Variety Store on the street in Melbourne.
Political Forces: The political stability is very important for the business to grow and last, according to that if the business has been operated in a politically unstable area, or in a country that is under a threat of wars that will lead to a loss for the business. But this year (2015) Unilever’s price change percentage moves are bouncing. That means there are some problems with their strategy (stock market statistics); Of couse the these little changes doesn’t effect so much to company. Unilever is one of the largest FMCG companies of the world, represented in 150 countries with over 200,000 employees. In Pakistan, Unilever made its debut in 1948, and today it is one of the most prominent multinationals in the country operating though two affiliated companies viz. Unilever Pakistan and Unilever Pakistan Foods. The two public listed limited companies have 5 wholly owned and 7 third party manufacturing sites across Pakistan and employees around 1,500 people on their payroll and many thousands indirectly.
If the market is in recession the demand can be expected to be on the lower side whereas in case of boom condition, demand will definitely be much higher. On the other hand, inflation rates have a negative effect on the growth of the advertising industry. Inflation rates affect the prices of goods and services which also affects the purchasing power. If the purchasing power of the consumers decline, manufacturing industries will experience low returns. They will shift the burden to the advertising industry by reducing investment in the industry and therefore affecting growth. Maintaining strong relationships with customers is necessary for Unilever brands to be well presented to their consumers and available for purchase at all times. The strength of their customer relationships also affects their ability to obtain pricing and secure favourable trade terms.
