Most people have heard of the Holocaust, and more than 6 million Jews have died in concentration camps. Some Jews insisted on going into hiding instead of waiting to get forced out of their house or taken off the streets. Like the Frank family, Otta Frank took his wife and his 2 daughters into hiding. Along the way they let another family, and a dentist lives with them. The families and dentist hiding in the secret Annex is a Historical Event . Historical Events in Anne Frank impacted in many ways, such as the mood of the Characters, and the relationships between characters.
In the play Anne Frank the mood of the characters change when they heard good news. “The radio...the BBC! They said they landed on the coast t of Norway.” ( Hackett, 180)
The Franks: Hidden For Two Years For writing this essay, I was sparked by my continuous interest for the Holocaust and how the Frank family got through these terrible experiences. When I was in the 4th grade, we researched who was a part of the hiding and did projects on the whole story and I instantly wanted to know more. It interested me how a normal group of people could be this courageous and daring during a time where everything is collapsing in their lives. My goal for this essay is to inform you on how the hiding of the Frank family is a very significant part of our history that should be remembered for centuries.
Amsterdam in World War II was horrible for jews, because during February 22,1941 jews were getting arrested by the Germans, but all together they deported the seven hundred jews to Buchenwald concentration camp. And then some of the jews were deported from Buchenwald to Mauthausen camp and by then most of those jews were killed their. Anne Frank was a German jewish tennager who was forced to go to hiding during the Holocaust. She was born June 12,1920, Anne and her family, along with four others spent over two years during World War II, hiding in an annex full of rooms above her father’s office in Amsterdam. Anne Frank later on in life died in March 12,1945 in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Germany.
On June 12th, 1942, Annelies Marie “Anne” Frank received a diary from her parents. Little did they know that the diary would later become one of the most critical pieces of information in World War II. In the beginning of her diary, it was just like any other teenage girl’s diary. She led a normal life, worrying about what she’d wear tomorrow or what her friends are doing.
From the hard decisions on whether she ate or gave to her family to whether or not risk her life to help the Russians, I asked myself the same question “Would I be willing?” Almost immediately, I felt the throbbing pains of guiltiness for my own answers to that question just like Alicia did. Before reading other Jewish survivor novels like Alicia's’, I had read The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, and also watched the heartbreaking movie of Anne Frank’s Journey as well. That is when my obsession with learning more of the Holocaust, and its victims became almost natural for me to obsess with. That is also around the same time I found Alicia’s novel, and what captured me even more to Alicia’s autobiography besides the setting was the fact that it was well over 200 pages.
Thirteen year old Anne Frank with sweat rolling down her face did her best to keep up with her parents. It was early in the morning and her family was pretending to go for a stroll, when in fact they were going into hiding from the Nazi's. She knew this was a live or die matter. Anne was a young German Jewish girl who hid with her family in Nazi Germany and showed extreme bravery in the face of adversity. Aidan Barnot Mrs Miller English 1 January 19th The topic I chose to write about today is the Holocaust and during the holocaust there was a young girl named Anne Frank. Anne was Jewish and during this time period the Germans were led by a man named Hitler and Hitler didn't like Jewish people so they were going around and capturing Jewish people and sending them to concentration camps. How was Anne Frank finally caught after all those years that she was in in hiding? Anne hid for a total of 2 years in total until she was finally caught by the Germans and sent to Auschwitz.
Anne Frank was a girl who lived during the time of the Holocaust and she was born and grew up for some time in Frankfurt Germany. She and her family did not want to be controled by the Nazi’s and did not want the Nazi’s knowing where they were so they stayed and hide in Anne’s dads upstairs of where he worked which was hidden. Anne and her family stayed in that space for two years until the Nazi’s found them and took control of them again. One Anne’s 13th birthday before they got caught she got a diary for a present where over the days she wrote about her physical and mental development, and her imaginary friend she made named Kitty. When they got caught they got sent to a concentration camp called Auschwitz-Birkenau and they had to live in
The 1940s were a crucial time all over the world with hardships and wars going on for years. Within these wars, two little girls that have been apart of it their whole lives, have shared their experiences through a diary and a book of stories. The Diary of Anne Frank is about a young jewish girl named Anne Frank, who has to go into hiding with her family in order to not get caught and taken away by the Nazis in Amsterdam, and while in hiding, records her experiences and thoughts into her diary. Farewell to Manzanar is a book based on a girl named Jeanne Wakatsuki who is seven years old at the time, and gets taken away with her family to Manzanar encampments, as the U.S. government doesn’t want to risk any Japanese Americans possibly giving up information to the Japanese as they are at war with them. Anne Frank and Jeanne Wakatsuki have many similarities and differences throughout their lifetimes on the run from the war.
Anne Frank atttained her success through her hardships in her life. My dog's collard chafed his neck until I came and took it off of him. I have a reverence towards God because he created the world for everyone to live on. The citizens of Paris suffered vile torture when ISIS started bombing them.
Anne Frank’s Legacy There is nobody better at hide and seek than Anne Frank. The Franks lived in a confined space for almost two years with four other people, never once getting to go outside. I hope they weren't claustrophobic. Throughout this lengthy period Anne expressed her feelings through writing. Her journal was named Kitty, to keep her company.

This chaos about Anne Frank had started when she notice things were being taken away. Stepping in somebody’s shoes day to day is actually explaining what people might be going through as kids. Anne Frank had to run and survive for her life when the holocaust had came and more things started disappearing from them. They were isolated back into there house and didn’t have any transportation. 760 days of darkness. 25 months of silence. 2 years of paranoia. All for one goal, to live. Anne Frank, a German Jew, went into hiding with her family, and four others.
In what we have been reading about the main conflict is the Holocaust. I am going to be talking a little more on what happened in The Diary of Anne Frank but not fully so. During the Holocaust there were these people named Nazis and they would take Jews and send them to concentration camps. The way the Jews would try to avoid being captured was the Jews would find places to hide and they would be Completely silent so that they would not get caught. I don't think that was the best thing to do
