I plan to utilize the lessons I learned in high school to continue to excel in the classroom. I love the idea that by being in the JMU Honors program, I will have access to smaller classes, engaged faculty and experiential learning. I am excited at the thought of living and studying with other students who have my same academic focus and I look forward to taking advantage of every opportunity the program would offer.

I feel like communication skills and being comfortable with many views are both great necessary qualities to have when dealing with a diverse college campus. I am very open minded and respect other people’s views even though they might not agree with my views. I possess great social skills and find myself very personable. I get along well with multiple different people which I think would be a great addition to the counseling team. While in college, I have demonstrated my
Being nominated to be a member of the National Honor Society is an honor in itself. I was certainly looking to be a part of this prestigious honor society since the beginning of my high school career here in United States. I’ve always had a deep admiration for learning because learning is the only path to growth. While education certainly does not stop in the classroom, it is certainly a key place to expand one’s comprehension of a variety of skills and topics. Being in a learning environment like a classroom not only exposes one to a seasoned instructor that can impart knowledge on you but a surplus of different classmates with different upbrings and ideology that expands perception on an idea in a way that gives new light on a concept one may have never seen before.
I believe that TCU is a great fit for me because I am a student who believes in constantly improving myself and my skills. I am an actively involved student in my school community, and I love the fact that TCU offers such a wide variety of classes and organizations for students like me to take part in. I know that I personally thrive best among other students who not only push themselves, but encourage those around them to do so as well, and from meeting many TCU students, it is evident to me that TCU embodies that idea. After my time at TCU, I hope to discover a more independent, authentic version of myself.
The choice you have made by going back to school will definitely pay off in the future. Education is the key to success that will open doors for you that no man can close. Therefore, I want to say to you that you can accomplish any goals you desire with a positive attitude and a willing mind. Social work is a great field for people who have a desire to help others who are in need of service. Here at Eastfield College, Professor Ortiz is over that program and he is awesome, you will love his style of teaching.
When doing research on the school I was quick to grow fond of it and by what I have read about UNCW it is most defiantly where I trust I should be and is where I can see myself building a future and creating a life. The wide range of academics the school offers and the endless opportunities I will have are astounding. I have always been a person interested in travel and I have always liked an adventure and UNCW offers great international programs that can allow me to do that. I know UNCW, Wilmington is the best school for me and I see myself finding who I want to be and being able to become that person.
The National Honor Society is an exceptional organization that allows students to help the needy, children, the elderly, and non-profit organizations. I would be excited to join such a society because of the limitless opportunities it presents to me. Joining NHS would allow me to grow as a person, and do as much as I can for others. Throughout my years as a student, I have shown great examples of scholarship, leadership, character and service that I believe would qualify to join this prestigious society.
Especially the Team Based Learning Halls, which will benefit my immensely since I have found that collaboration to be very useful in my understanding a topic fully. In my undergraduate career, I had enrolled in every study group offered with my classes.
I believe that I have so much to offer if I am accepted into UNA’s Honors Program. Every honors program needs students that are driven and motivated to succeed. One of my biggest strengths is my ability to test my limits. I do not believe in settling for the easy route because I know I am capable of so much more.
I was delighted after receiving the letter informing me I was eligible to become part of the National Junior Honor Society. DSHA has impacted me in numerous aspects, the most significant change being the way I appreciate learning. In other words, DSHA has allowed me to gain academic knowledge as well as prepare me with the qualities and skills vital to succeed in the real, adult world. First and foremost, DSHA has allowed me to grow intellectually. Through taking specific courses, especially the science courses, I have discovered genuine interests that I initially never expected to have. Similarly, I came to appreciate learning and the need of it in order to further myself and pursue my passions.
