INTRODUCTION- BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Over the last few years the need for holistic Education has drastically expanded as the parents, students, and educators have expressed their need for a different option for mainstream education is required. The critics of education such as Swiss humanitarian Johann Pestalozzi and pioneers such as Maria Montessori and Rudolf Steiner have pointed that education should focus more on moral, emotional, physical psychological and spiritual development of the child. And during the 1970s, an emerging body of literature in science, philosophy and cultural history provided an overarching concept to describe this way of understanding education — a perspective known as holism (Miller, R. 2000). Therefore, much attention was not given to skills of holistic education. Awards are given for the schools as well as student who achieve academically. As ministry’s main focus is on students marks or result, school management also work hard to achieve this.
Many teachers as well as management members don’t know what holistic education is. If members of management don’t know the holistic education and its importance, it will be very difficult to implement, conduct and manage these kinds of work at their school
When talking about support staff, they do not face much problem because they do not interact directly with the students. The main problem for the support staff is the heavy work load like opening of school office during holidays or arranging or fulfilling teachers need regarding the teaching. Same way education needs a collaborative effort of concerned authorities with latest new trends. We the people who live in this small society and our resources is the root of our education. Education is not something that grows naturally. It’s us who nourishes the development. Each of us forgetting our role in this process kills a key root towards educational development. Our students are the flowers which makes our country beautiful. What we do today remains as a positive or negative impact. Holistic education is not touchy feely, fluffy, cozy or easy, it is arduous and a lot of hard work on the part of students, teachers, parents, and the community.
