This article is about the similarities between the Trojans after the Trojan War and the Jewish population with the end of the Holocaust. To translate the second half of the Aeneid into modern application is very difficult as we do not have some kind of political movement very close to what happens. The situation that the Trojans encountered after the destruction of their city is similar to what happened to the Jewish population after World War II. First, there was a mass genocide and then a return to the native homeland. Religion is a factor in both, as well as the way the people live. Then, when the people who live in the native homeland now raise arms, the original enemy replays, such as a “second Hitler” or “another Achilles.” Vergil’s Aeneid
