No Poverty, Zero Hunger and Good Health and Well-Being are three of the Global Goals that world leaders set in 2015 and hoped to achieve by 2030. Progress is being made in certain areas but that doesn 't mean these things are true for the millions of homeless people around the world. Homeless people do not have fixed, secure, safe homes or fixed places to sleep in, and so they typically live in the streets. The homeless can also include people spending nights in homeless shelters, abandoned buildings, etc. Lack of housing means lack of income which usually means lack of food, so these people often do not know where or how to buy their next meal.
Homeless are often set up for failure by these things so they end up getting into trouble and in jail by not being able to pay for such unreasonable things. Police are already viewed pretty negatively by the homeless and by doing this it just adds to the negativity. So, homeless become even more less susceptible to come to the police for help. Homeless that fining effects are often put in a position where they have no place to go because shelters are either to fall or too violent and sleeping in your car or the streets is criminalized. To conclude I think this solution to getting homeless off the street is moving in the opposite direction.
This translate to over twelve million people looking for jobs. When employers want to hire people, not have a permanent residency and lacking a mode of transportation makes you look unreliable. When compared to someone else who has a car and place to live, employers don’t have to think twice about who they want to hire. Also many homeless people have a mental illness or disability making them unable to have a job. Even those with a job are unable to make a sustainable living off it.
Most homelessness is based from a lack of education, substance abuse, and/or unemployment. Education is life in the modern world and without that you are basically useless. There is a major substance abuse epidemic happening around the world right now and it is causing lots of people to become homeless. Along with substance abuse, people also find themselves homeless because of the recent raise in unemployment rates. Without jobs you cannot afford to live the life you want.
5) Harsh weather conditions can make people become sick or even kill them. 6) Such individuals are likely unable to escape addiction. 7) Homeless persons are not fully welcome by the society. 8) It is often difficult for homeless persons to work in some occupations.
The current government is creating a situation where more families along with their children are experiencing homelessness. An individual may be considered homeless when they lack permanent housing and have to stay in shelters, abandoned buildings or vehicles, on the streets, or in other forms of unstable situations. Many homeless people start out with jobs and stable residences, but then social and economic factors intervene, causing a rapid change in their living situation causing them to leave, and live on the street. Even with the population of homeless keeps increasing, the government does not aid nor benefit the homeless because they only worsen the homeless problem by having laws that go against homelessness, not helping mentally ill homeless population, and having the lack of subsidized housing.
Introduction Nowadays, the number of homeless people are increasing vigorously. For example, the ‘famous’ place where these homeless people exist is in Kuala Lumpur. Some of the homeless people have a job but it does not enough to rent a room or house. So they decided to sleep by the roadside and the streets of popular areas in the city Why the number of homeless people keep increasing day by day? Is being homeless is their wishes?
These homeless people are engineers, lawyers, doctors, and etc. Their careers and jobs are important to our society. The reason they became homeless are from missteps they took throughout their lives. Homelessness is not just about money and housing. It is about human rights failure.
Finally, another major issue involved with homelessness is the safety of the populations of homeless individuals. Accomodation for the masses is a major issue when one is confronted with the issue of homelessness. Where are all of these people meant to stay, if not the streets? One answer comes in shelters, but the current shelters available in most cities are often lackluster and not the best places to stay. “The women noted that shelters currently available lack the necessary requirements of basic accommodation,” (Walsh et al.) found a study in the Qualitative Report called “Characteristics of Home: Perspectives of Women Who are Homeless.”
Also, personal features such as emotional issues may have a significant effect on homelessness. At first, it could lead to psychological disorders due to the feeling of isolation. Eventually, a person may have difficulties socialising with others, have a of loss interest in everything and struggle to live in a functioning society. He or she unable to cope with psychological disorders may spend his or her entire life on the street. Some people have institutional backgrounds such as military service or have had a prison term.
More often than not, he is not accepted for any job. When he is on those streets the laws against what he is doing are providing no benefit for him or the economy.
