Youth Homelessness in America Every year, millions of people are experiencing some form of homelessness in the United States alone. Of those people who are experiencing homelessness, a large proportion of them is under the age of 24. Data has found that there are over 550,000 youth have experienced homelessness for more than a week over the course of a year (“Youth and Young Adults,” 2018). In many cases, youth homelessness can be prevented, but the lack of resources and services available to youth is limited. As a result, the issue continues to grow and affect more and more youth have to experience homelessness.
Homelessness is the condition of people without regular dwelling. Homelessness is people who are in the streets that are in need that needs help to put a meal in their stomach, people who look for shelter but sometimes cannot get one because of they already filled up. Their is three types of homelessness we have Chronic Homelessness,Transitional Homelessness and Episodic Homelessness. Chronic Homelessness are people who are able to enter a shelter system and can stay in a shelter for long-term rather than going to an emergency arrangement, then Transitional Homelessness is someone who enters a shelter system for only one stay and for a short period lastly Episodic Homelessness is frequently shuttle in and out of homelessness. Imagine being homeless with nowhere to go nothing to eat and having nothing. Throughout the usa there have been between 500,000 and 600,000 people homeless every night. Homelessness is something that affects all races ages and religions, people judge them thinking that they are just lazy and don 't want to find a job but usually that is not the case, the homeless people you see on the streets all have life stories that if you took the time to listen you would have a different opinion on them. It is impossible to count the exact amount of homeless but it is known to be millions every day everywhere men women and children are begging for money on the streets “Most of these people carry shopping bags and carts to keep their belongings but have nowhere to go If someone gives them money they may respond with prayers of thanks and blessings these people are called homeless”. Although they are more than just people without homes.
1. Homeless in young Australians is a major issue within the homeless population. As statics shows that 18% of young Australians do not have money to survive on, 15% live jobless household, 5% deprived somewhere safe to live and survive on. This circumstance I young Australians occur young people in Australia occurs due to housing crisis, domestic violence, family violence and relationship/family breakdowns (brochure).

How I relate my thesis to my quotation is that I got quote from the story “ If they don’t want me, well I guess I am nothing”. It indicates that a teen is talking about his family and he thinks his family doesn’t want and decide to be homeless.
Homelessness ,an American Problem] [Homelessness is serious problem that America has come to face. Millions of people including families ,children, elder, babies , veterans live day after day without water ,food or a roof over their heads. The number of homeless, families with children and elder has considerably over the past decade or so. They are together the fast, growing portion of the homeless population. There are together almost 40% of all people who are homeless.
The current government is creating a situation where more families along with their children are experiencing homelessness. An individual may be considered homeless when they lack permanent housing and have to stay in shelters, abandoned buildings or vehicles, on the streets, or in other forms of unstable situations. Many homeless people start out with jobs and stable residences, but then social and economic factors intervene, causing a rapid change in their living situation causing them to leave, and live on the street. Even with the population of homeless keeps increasing, the government does not aid nor benefit the homeless because they only worsen the homeless problem by having laws that go against homelessness, not helping mentally ill homeless population, and having the lack of subsidized housing.
LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Transsexual) youth homelessness makes up only 5 to 7 percent of the general youth population, yet up to 40 percent of youth experiencing homelessness. Many LGBTQ youth face harassment, victimization, violence, social stigma, rejection, and discrimination in their families, schools, employment, and social settings. LGBTQ identified youth ages 13 to 17, provides important information regarding how LGBTQ young people experience life in their communities. Nearly half of LGBTQ youth (47 percent) surveyed they do not “fit in” in their community, while only 16 percent of non LGBTQ youth reported feeling that way. 63 percent stated that they will need to move to another part of the country in order to feel accepted.
Introduction/ definition. The issue of homelessness people is a major problem within my community. Homelessness is a condition of people without a well, health houses to dwell in, most people with this condition are people leaving in streets, old buildings, under sewage pipes and townships to beg for food, clothes, money and also for help to get a better life to resemble like normal people with a well condition of life. People who are involved in this condition some of them are teenagers and adults who are being chased away from their homes. Some of them are kids with no parents or anybody to care of.

Homelessness is very real in the United states with 3.5 million Americans left without a place to call home each year. There is a strong stigma against homeless individuals who are seen as chronic and episodic, but in reality, those seen living on the streets in downtown areas of cities are families with children. The vast majority have been thrust into homelessness through a life altering situation that was unexpected and unplanned for. One of the harsh realities is that homeless individuals and families tend to come from communities of concentrated poverty. Many factors lead to pushing people onto the streets and occasionally, these same factors can be the reason they stay homeless.
