Last, kids need a lot of sleep so they can wake up refreshed and ready to learn. I believe that going to school later will make it where kids can get better grades and get better rest. Many people might disagree, because a lot of people work and they cannot get their kids to school that late. It is hard for people to get their kids to school, but at least you know that your kid hopefully is getting better grades and is not exhausted. Kids need all the rest they can get.
Is homework becoming too much? Every day students spend hours upon hours doing homework every night and stressing out if they aren't able to finish it. The first form of homework was given as a punishment to the kids that would act up in class. The teacher would give them extra school work to take home and do instead of being able to go home relax and have fun. Although homework can help increase understanding of new topics this kind of practice is not helping students because it can interfere with sleeping, stresses kids and teenagers out and can cause depression, and even make a kid give up on school altogether.
In fact in the same article “Why We Must - and Can - Restore Safe & Healthy School Hours” it states “Kids who are tired can't learn at their best, and sleep deprivation impairs learning, memory, and attention as much as it impairs health and overall well-being.” By the same token in the article “School Start Times Found to Affect Student Achievement” it points out that “A new study finds that delaying middle-school start times by one hour, from roughly 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., would increase standardized math and reading scores by 2 to 3 percentile points.” Finally “Learn More About Sleep and Academic Performance” says ‘A National Sleep Foundation poll reported that 28 percent of teenagers have fallen asleep in class at least once due to lack of sleep.” To sum it up lack of sleep do to early school hours can have a major tull on test scores and students
Schools around the world should start later because it would help kids get to school on time, improve concentration during class, and it’s better for their health. Most kids hate getting up early- If we started later in the morning, less kids would fall asleep in class and they would be able to concentrate more. Getting up early in the morning is hard. If we started later it would help reduce the amount of tardies students get throughout the year. Students have a hard time getting up in the mornings, but if they had more time to sleep in or more time to get ready in the morning it might help them to get to school on time.
As a result child is in extreme chaos in the early hours of the day preparing for school. The sleep pattern has undergone a change but the policy of early school hours remains the same. There is a need to deliberate on this issue for proper growth and development of the children
Do you have trouble getting out of bed early in the morning? Are you always falling asleep in class? Well then this is the article we will explore the problem of starting school later . Schools should start later because it ruins kids sleeping schedules, affects their body in many ways as well as their grades.Reason why school should start later it runes kids sleeping schedules it affects there body in many negative ways and grade Kids are like remote controlled cars because when they are recharging, their batteries gain energy so that the car can move. Sleep and mood are closely connected. An inadequate amount of sleep can cause irritability and stress. Homework doesn’t only stress out the students it’s assigned too, studies show it also affects the parents of the students, especially parents who didn’t receive a college education. Children need help with all the math, language, and science homework they receive but, parents don’t always know all the answers. This can cause parents to feel frustrated and stressed knowing they can’t help
Teens spend a great portion of each day in school; however, they are unable to maximize the learning opportunities afforded by the education system, since sleep deprivation impairs their ability to be alert, pay attention, solve problems, cope with stress and retain information. Young people who do not get enough sleep night after night carry a significant risk for drowsy driving and emotional and behavioral problems such as irritability, depression poor impulse control and violence; health complaints; tobacco and alcohol use; impaired cognitive function and decision-making , and lower overall performance in everything from academics to athletics. Hectic schedules with afterschool activities and jobs, homework hours and family obligations, and a clash between societal demands, such as early school start times , and biological changes that put most teens on a later sleep-wake clock. As a result, when it is time to wake up for school, the adolescent’s body says it is still the middle of the night, and he or she has had too little sleep to feel rested and alert. I believe there are pros and cons to starting school at later times , but I think it would help and increase the academics and health in high school students to get more sleep and have a later start time to at least give it a try and compare the differences in start times after a while and see the differences in academics and moods and go by what’s working best for students and allowing them to get the education they need , while getting enough sleep and not harming their bodies
Kids should be considered next time a teacher hands out homework, what is it doing to these kids. Homework can take away from family time, and can stress the lives of youth. Does it really help? Sure homework CAN be a good learning tool, but also affects kids in a negative way. Kids should have little to no homework to reduce stress upon students in schools.

Early school times have been causing children in schools to earn bad grades. Research shows that these children tend to do better when schools are delayed. On the other hand, some people think that starting schools later means having less time to do homework. If schools start later, children will have time to get more rest. Many students are not getting the right amount of sleep.
