Being a king that brought a country to success while still caring for the people’s best interest is what makes Oedipus loved. He has more than a few great qualities such as being smart enough to figure out the Sphinx’s riddle, Courageous enough to fight the Sphinx, unselfish enough to leave his home town to save who he thought his parents were, and more, but his best quality is his honesty. Oedipus lets his people know what he knows at the beginning and end of the play, which is important in getting people to love and respect you as a leader. Honesty is Oedipus’s best attribute.
Being honest is not always easy, but it makes people respect and trust you more. Whether it’s owning up to a simple mistake you’ve made, not cheating on a test,
