The parks and open space system includes a variety of parks where people can enjoy time with others or steep their senses in the world of nature. For example, there are a wide waterfront esplanade that connected with Vancouver’s Columbia River Renaissance Trail let the resident and visitor to enjoy it, and naturalized open spaces attracted wildlife to join. Those pathways, sidewalks and street end plazas link together with the parks and open spaces that extend the waterfront.

Olmsted built the first park in United States in New York known as “Central Park” in 1858 with Calvert Vaux. The other major park during this period was Chicago’s Columbian Exposition built by Daniel H. Burnham in 1893. These parks, are compared by the author to prove, that the remedies offered by the parks were different, but the purpose of building them was the same.
Even though they acknowledge that the installation of parks is an expensive enterprise, the author needs to address potential objections from those who believe the money would be better spent elsewhere. In addition, the author disregards the perspective of those who think Dallas' shortage of accessible park space is not a top
Or another example of a solution is to build parking lots for these areas miles away from the park, which would make tourists emerge from their mechanized vehicles and actually experience nature. Question#1 Some people might think that abandoned, “ghetto” sites have become useless, uninspiring, invaluable and should be demolished to create a building in which people could inhabit or use with a purpose. Although, that is not always the situation, some places could be transformed into a building that is advantageous to all. To support this, it clearly states in Source#2 that “Through government partnerships, public art can also transform dull or run-down public spaces and inspire the people who live and work there. We believe that art is educational and belongs to all people.
For example: In Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood, there is soon to be the development of a Back Lot with the hopes to attract tourist and create revenue. This is also in effort to utilize old factories and use them as film and production studios. Developments such as the “Eco Square” are also considering moving into Douglas park, another one of Chicago’s Westside communities. The “Eco Square” is a 419,000 housing development that is being built on the idea of green sufficiency and to house 150 residences over 5 acres of land. There is also a proposal that either the Hyde Park / Woodlawn area or Chicago’s UIC Flames campus might receive the presidential library.
