Because of the deep nature Victoria harbor, Hong Kong from a fishing village become the world's leading international financial centers and has a reputation of the pearl of east in Asia by its beautiful night view. However, to compare with other harbor cities in harbor development, Honk Kong still has plenty of room to improve. For example, the problems include lack of conservation of the biodiversity of coastal line, insufficient recreational facilities and pollutant emission from the ships when they berth in our harbor. The parks and open space system includes a variety of parks where people can enjoy time with others or steep their senses in the world of nature. For example, there are a wide waterfront esplanade that connected with Vancouver’s Columbia River Renaissance Trail let the resident and visitor to enjoy it, and naturalized open spaces attracted wildlife to join. Those pathways, sidewalks and street end plazas link together with the parks and open spaces that extend the waterfront.

The government should add more recreational facilities and area along the coastal line and stop to build more useless private plazas. “Buildings are used to shape and emphasize the respite of public park spaces and squares that are an integral part of every neighborhood building cluster” said by Beasley (2006). Waterfront development need to be sustainable so that the nearby building should include green buildings with usable green roofs, managing waste and water carefully, alternative energy sources and transportation choices, and even urban
