If given the opportunity to be a student at Appalachian State University, I will bring the same friendly attitude I received when I took my campus tour of ASU. On campus, I will be the one wearing ASU t-shirts, working with a study group or exercising in the Recreation Center. Of course this is just the start of what ASU has to offer, my list of positive qualities
To live, study and work with students like me from all across Arkansas, would not only be an honor but an extraordinary and challenging experience for my mental capabilities. Attending ASMSA would be a great opportunity to thoroughly express my hard work ethic and dedication. With my persistence, I could accomplish anything and everything. I believe that by attending ASMSA, I would better help prepare myself for my future and make extraordinary achievements. My role as part of the ASMSA community would not simply be a student, but rather be an achiever.
Small classes will allow me to have individual learning from my professors. Small classes typically focus more on involvement through discussion and allow students to learn in a collaborating style that is typically not available at a large university. Working individually with professors will allow me to receive constructive criticism which will strengthen my skills and prepare me for a four-year university. High school graduates who are unsure of what they want to study or intimated by the idea of a university may find community college to be an easier transition. Community college is a place to start fresh.
Bearing the title of member of the National Honor Society will also aid in my efforts of being accepted into the college that I choose. I will benefit immensely if granted membership into the National Honor Society, and because of this, I will put in a great deal of effort in contributing to the organization in compensation. Based on my own characteristics, I believe that I will contribute to the National Honor Society greatly. I am a determined and hard-working individual, never settling for anything less than
They also offered several social advantages, such as socials and gatherings, which made it easier to make friends when first entering college. The UHP has opened up several academic, social, and vocational advantages to its members. The future can be quite a scary concept. Knowing what you want to do for the rest of your life at the age of eighteen is a lot of pressure.
When I think of the word “diversity” I think of variety or an assortment of many different things. Diversity adds a lot of values to a college education for many reasons. For example, diversity is shown in school in many ways like the different kinds of classes you can take such as a language class, science, math or English, etc., teachers also have many different variety’s like the teacher you choose, the way that they teach, the subject, also the many different types of clubs show how the club itself and the schools diversity. All these things add value to a college education because it shows the many different options that a person has, it also shows how each one is different and that you can expand yourself and your education.
One of the most valuable parts of my own undergraduate experience was being able to realize my intellectual potential in coursework and research projects, while receiving unconditional support from my professors both academically and otherwise. Therefore, I am particularly glad to learn about the many unique opportunities to work with faculty members at UVA Law, ranging from working as a research assistant to partnering with professors in public interest projects. The "Take a Professor to Lunch Program" also sounds like a great chance to interact with professors at a more informal level. The list of my answers to why UVA Law goes on: its honor system similar to the honor code and self-governance principle in my undergraduate institution that I cherish so much, its amazing alumni network across the country, Charlottesville as a lively city with amiable weather, etc. In closing, I can see myself growing up to become a lawyer at UVA, while enjoying my three years in Charlottesville as a student before confidently stepping into the professional legal
Accessible community and cultural events, paired with the professional preparation and research opportunities of the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, are the changes that USF can offer and that I believe would make my college experience more rewarding. I feel that it can fulfill both my academic and personal goals; it is the institution where I want to complete my undergraduate
As mentioned before, I have a passion for conducting experiments to expand my knowledge; I believe through the Honors College I would be able to find other interested students, and obtain the grants and funds necessary to conduct research projects. Currently I am working on a cognitive neuroscience and educational analysis research project with other undergraduate students and few graduate students. We are measuring fluid intelligence with matrix reasoning and using the data to predict tested individual’s success in educational and professional environments. If inducted into the Honors college I could design, plan, and execute projects of similar real world

Due to my personal goals and values, I chose Queen’s University as I knew it was the place I could grow and thrive. I selected Queens University because I value challenges very highly (exhibit C). The growth mindset shows me, when an individual can overcome great challenges in both academic and social areas the individual learns multiple useful skills such as resilience and handwork (Yeager, Scott, Dweck). I knew Queen’s would challenge me both academically and socially, and it has thus far. I find fitting in harder than ever before and adjusting to the work load difficult.
Over the past four years I have dealt with circumstances that have affected me positively and allowed me to grow. I have gained much perspective, determination, and responsibility. These qualities have aided my highschool career and help me continue to succeed in college. I plan on going into engineering; the Honors College is the place where I want learn exactly what branch of engineering that I want to pursue. My ultimate goal is to become a well rounded person and student; I want to take full.
Jesse Owens once said, “[w]e all have dreams. But in order to make that dream a reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.” The dreams that I have for my life aren’t going happen overnight, they are going to take time, determination, self-discipline, and effort. Along with taking time and effort, I’m going to take my personal qualities and put them to work. I believe I’m a good applicant for this scholarship because I have good work ethic, good relationships with people, but I also have good characteristics including being goal oriented.
Gary "The Great" Living the life of Gary Trent Jr. isn't an easy life to live. Growing up in Apple Valley, a town home to the Minnesota Timberwolves finest, Tyus Jones. Gary tries to make a name for himself, and succeeds by being ranked number five in the US for boy's basketball players. Going from the court, to college visits, and big decision making, it may seem nice watching all the success from the outside, but there's so much more to it. The reason why I wanted to interview Gary is because of all the exposure and attention Gary has gotten in his basketball career.
