Last Wednesday we watched a film entitled “Honor Thy Father” it was released last Christmas season and also part of Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) last 2015 that is directed by Erik Matti. Honor Thy Father has received many good critique reviews and comments that made the film famous and very influential to the viewers. The movie is all about religion, family,violence and about sacrificing and fighting for your own family. Honor Thy Father is normal movie that you can compare and relate a real life scenario and issues in our own country today. The film’s plot is far different from other genre of movies that are mostly about comedy, love and horror. The movie is not an invented imaginary film but a true representation of our society and serves as a lesson that teaches facts and ideas to people who are not aware of what is going on to our community. At the very beginning of the story Edgar (John Lloyd Cruz) together with his wife Kaye (Meryll Soriano) was introduced to the movie that works to the mining business somewhere in the country. In the story the couple was persuading their friends to invest in their mining business to be able to earn a lot of money in a very short span of time and so the people who invested to them believed that their money will grow double as what the couple promised.
